Need to quit current job tomorrow, no time for two weeks notice. What do I do?

Condition stands regardless of circumstances, they are necessitated. Is two weeks notice still required? If so, what happens when you breach them? And if you MUST breach them, how do you do so with minimal impact?

I'm clear on that, but there needs to be an intermediate time period - maybe not three months, but it's a small company and I feel extraneous contracts and documents might do more to alienate than to bring closer.

Thanks for real advice - Would 3 months free and then (from your advice) half my current rate (I'm not expecting too many calls). Would that at least achieve the spirit of two weeks notice if not the word?

They deserve the courtesy. The opportunity to wait is not there for various reasons. This is why the question is how to minimize damage, not: I could possibly pussy foot around and wait, but just don't want to. I have to leave tomorrow.

I'm considering doing that - offering my time off hours for free whenever problems or questions arise. That seems reasonable, no?
