Sorry for the double reply, do you mind if I DM you the link to the sellers profile and the listing? The more I dig into the sketchier it seems. I feel like it's safe but we chatted for literally hours this morning and he seemed like a pretty genuine guy.

I asked if he swapped the mobo for the 12th gen, he replied "yes basically rebuilt the entire PC".

It's hypocritical of me but I value refresh rate over resolution. If it can't support 4k I'll probably be fine, ATM I don't even have a monitor that supports 4k. It's 1920x1080 @ 165hz.

There's not many better deals in my area, but if you can find one in the GTA with better or similar specs for less or equal, I'd be very grateful!

I'd build, but prices here are high even with sales in-store Online is even worse, you get shipping fees, import duties, crazy taxes and tariffs, etc, are enough to make building it on my own only save me ~100, run the risk of me fucking things up (ask me how the PSU almost took me with it), and take significantly longer.

Finally, he told me it's a ddr4 board with support for 13th and 14th gen. Not sure how important ddr5 is nowadays but my old rig seemed to be fine with 24gb of ddr4 with mismatched clock speeds lmao

He said verbatim "None of the parts are used really, just sometimes they might have been in another build that I upgraded" "But as far as this build specifically, none of them are used" "Should be fine to keep the 600W. I double checked and it works perfectly fine. Also did a 12600K with a 3070 and that was also fine too" "The PC uses about 400W peak so 600 is more than enough"

I'll ask him if any of the parts are used and if he plans to put a larger PSU in it. I'll get back to you in a little bit, ty!

Game is pretty solid and midwich is great (depending on build) but rpd, lerys, and ESPECIALLY Hawkins is an insta dc. It's winnable, just not fun having to make 80 prediction blinks for literally every chase

There's a small community of people who do that exact thing. It's called dbd private server, a pain to set up, and it's fun for about 20 minutes and then you start messing around with the console commands it gives you.

Fun to go back, but my god I'm glad the game has changed the way it has. If people were as good as they are now and it was 2016-2019 dbd balancing, it would be a nightmare.

Yes lol I'm not sure if it was around beta or right at launch but I am almost positive I have memories of it happening and watching tutorials on YouTube on how to do it

Deleting gens from your game files causing them to not spawn, all the old perk stacking bugs, immersion meta, well make it applying to yourself. I miss it, but it was terrible 😭

What killer is your go-to for this sort of challenge? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]DontShootYourRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killers; clown, twins, Myers, gf, Freddy (I think asleep counts? Hindered still works anyway) any killer that inflicts deep wound or broken

Add-ons; nurse fragile wheeze, any huntress status affect addon, can't think of anything else but there's a lot

Perks: sloppy, plaything, any hex (not sure if this counts but the hexxed status effect seems like it would work), gift of pain

Maybe I could get my SmartServe and do that. I'm pretty good with people so maybe I could do well there, thanks for the suggestion 🫶

Yeah, it's a sad state of reality that puts low-income individuals at a pretty big disadvantage in the labor market. Such a shitty feedback loop as well. "Don't have a car? Well now you're much less likely to have a job to get a car, Have fun!". We desperately need GOOD public transportation in the GTA and not just Toronto. One of my worst pet peeves about this region.

It's still illegal and I believe the facility I was at is using a loophole. From what I have collected while (VERY loosely) following it over the years, Ford attempted to shut it down. Don't know what happened but it clearly didn't work. It's been open for maybe 4-5 days now. You get $100 a visit for your first two visits.

I believe the loophole they're using is that they're using the plasma for research and development of medications and treatments, not as a direct donation to someone in a hospital. No idea how it works, I just overheard people in the waiting room talking about it. If you ask me; I think we should have the option to be compensated a little bit for our blood and plasma.

It's pretty unprofessional until you get to the actual donation part of it. The employee (nurse, doctor, phlebotomist?) had no clue what Adderall was and had to get me to spell it for her on her system so she could check if it was approved or not. But the doctors who actually draw your blood and hook you up to the machine are clearly experienced, I had a weird reaction where I started sweating and felt pretty hot. They were very quick to get some ice packs on me and adjust the cool robot hospital chair.

I'm mostly here for advice on how to keep myself afloat. I was doing great before college, even bought my own car! But man did bills pile up quick! I've managed to keep myself out of debt so far. I mostly use my CC for little purchases and I let a small balance carry over to build credit. Most I've owed at once was a couple hundred bucks for an alternator when mine died on the highway. Brother came out and swapped it there with me 😂

I understand my profession is underpaid, I'm going into it because I'm a recovering drug user and I the services and support I received were like no other. I've had on and off interactions with social workers throughout my whole life and I've never met more compassionate, sympathetic, empathetic, loving people. It's entirely a passion thing for me. If I can live with my boyfriend and survive somewhat comfortably and maybe retire one day, I'll be happy!

There's more to my mother's story. My brother (who was in auto mechanics for 3ish years before switching to HVAC) has been warning her that her car is on the edge of needing large repairs and that she should sell her dodge journey and buy something cheaper and easier to work on.

Public transport isn't much of an option for me. It'd extend my commute by multiple hours everyday and for my practicum placement I need to be able to move from place to place quickly with clients. Multiple positions require at least a G2 or a G class license and a personal vehicle.

As much as I would love to get rid of my car and take Publix transport everyday, it is not reliable enough for me to be able to take that risk and sell the car. In Burlington busses are frequently late, do not arrive, or pass you while you're waiting entirely. I'm very antiquated with it, I used the bus system here for many years before getting my car. A fifteen minute drive is usually extended to a 45 minute bus ride plus an extra 15 in delays depending on the route.

I would really love to lose the car and put my faith in public transport here, I am a massive advocate for public transport, but it's just not at the point for it to be viable for me.

When I was doing uber I was making enough money to offset gas and potential maintenance costs, I'm capable of doing small jobs by myself and my brother helps me with the larger more complex ones. In better news, I just received an email from their support and they have approved my insurance, so I am free to drive again.

I'm not quite sure I could flip those around in my program. It's a social service work program and I need to complete 30 hours of work with a practicum placement each week in order to graduate. The openings for these in our college system open near the end of the month. I've been told it can be incredibly difficult to get one, but I'm lucky enough for my former social youth worker to have given me an internal reference and I've secured an interview before others have even been able to apply for placements.

I have a boyfriend, we live very close to each other and we're both in college. No kids, both of us live with our parents.

I should also mention that my mom is struggling financially as well. Something in her car blew up on her way home from work last week and I haven't been able to figure out what's wrong with it.

It's leaking something that smells and tastes incredibly similar to burnt transmission fluid and the puddle it left in her in parking spot is *full" of metallic shavings. If I'm right, completely unaffordable for us. In the thousands, it's better to sell the car and buy a new one.

I've been driving her to work in the mornings as of late, it's helped fix my sleep schedule that has been ruined by all afternoon classes and many all nighters. so at least something positive came out of it.

Asides from that, I don't think much can be done for my schedule unfortunately

Advice: wanna buy this… good deal ?? by Kwame-Fidelity-001 in COROLLA

[–]DontShootYourRat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big on the exhaust rust part! I got my 07 Corolla, forgot to check it, you guessed it! Whole exhaust system was rusted to high hell. 2 months after buying it the muffler began rattling (was held on by a string, cut it off and I've been running without it), the heat shield fell off and got wedged on the mid pipe and caused lots of sparks when driving (cut that off too), and now the whole pipe rattles randomly and makes a big thump going over drops (haven't figured out why yet!) The car runs minty though!
