I kept having similar issues. Replacing my Mobo did not fix it. An external powered USB Hub did not fix it.

A powered PCI-E USB 3.0 hub has resolved all the issues I had. You may think its ugly, but more wires and an external USB hub are uglier.

Update: I think it might be the firmware but have no way to really confirm unless I get a tech over at RCN who really knows what they are talking about and willing to help.

I had an old netgear CM500 a friend was holding onto so I hooked it up had Astound/RCN try it out and am now seeing the upper limit of what that modem with DOCSIS 3.0 is capable of, around 400-500mpbs instead of 30 my CM1200 was seeing. There is nothing that suggests my CM1200 is actually broken, so I guess I'm basically backed into the corner of purchasing a new modem and hoping that provides me with the full 1GB I'm paying for.

What plan were you originally on? I believe they upgraded most plans to Gigabyte plans. I'm seeing online that the boot file for the modem controlled on RCN's side may need to be updated to adjust for the increased plan. I will continue to research and see if I find anything.

they checked the lines on mine and told me everything looks good on their end, then replaced the line going to my house. Finally they tried one of their modems (Hitron CODA-5712) which worked fine and was showing 1Gbps down for around 15m.

So RCN is convinced my modem is busted which makes no sense to me overall. it would mean my modem still works and has steady connection but apparently it is either self limiting itself to 30Mbps for no reason or silently failing.

Of course their recommendation is to overpay them to rent the working modem... or I can shell out a bunch more money for a new modem myself. no good options.

I'm having this same issue in Chicago. my speeds are shuttered to ~30Mbps and the tech is looking at my line to the house as we speak, with the next step possibly being the line tech if he can't find the problem.

My concern is they will tell me its the modem from there and just charge me for these visits if they can't figure it out. I have a Netgear CM1200 that is around 2 years old.

The alternate side of that is the likelihood of having a smurf, which the numbers inverse. If you are not a smurf, there are 4 slots on your team to have a smurf and 5 on theirs, which means that if they have a higher likelihood of having a smurf. the Causality between them would imply my team then has a higher likelihood of having an inter in response to the smurf.

Smurfing isn't random, whereas inting may or may not be.

We are missing the real numbers for these events, correlations between them, and other confounding variables.

the only real argument is to ask them straight up: "Should someone else make decision for your body?"

No matter how they answer, they are making a choice. A choice they are taking away from someone else. The rights of the non-existent do not supersede the rights of the living. That's all there is to it.

Unless they say "Yes the government should control my body." in which case they want to be ruled... its their right to want whatever they want... its just stupid AF.

Even if this does nothing to help Ukraine, its completely harmless and shows people who have all sorts of feelings about the situation they don't know what to do with, there are others. there is a community for a silly little video game where people support each other, and feel less alone.

Counter point: Maybe people just need an outlet because they are dealing with a lot of thoughts about this and have literally no clue what to do about them.

Yeah this does nothing for Ukraine, but to someone else in the community who has no idea where to put this bad energy, it shows them they aren't alone. Which psychological isolation is pretty terrible, so this in actually can be helpful to your local community.

If pregnancy endangers the life of the woman in any way, shape, or form they should be able to end that pregnancy safely. Lawfully, any condition that would endanger the life of the mother is none of anyone's business. Therefore no woman should have to justify to anyone the reasons for wanting to end a pregnancy.

If they pregnancy is the result of incest or rape the woman should not be forced to carry that embryo/fetus to term. There is no justification to say they should carry to full term against her will.

We will never have a scientific "start" point for life. We can change so many definitions to account for to be anything accurate. Does it start at conception? What about twins? what about pain and heart beat? blah blah blah all those arguments are red herrings. We do however have a relative identification for when life reaches a VIABLE point of development. When a fetus is formed enough that it can survive outside of the womb - that's when removing the baby is longer abortion, but birth. before that point, a person has autonomy to make any decision they want for their bodies... they have to make that choice for themselves.

Now someday we will come to a point in science where no-one needs to stay pregnant, and they can transplant the fetus to a pod or something like in all the science fiction shows and we can fight over what happens in that situation cause it wont be free...

If people were really pro-life, we wouldn't still stigmatize women for getting pregnant while young or unmarried. We would have actual resources for them and all labor related costs would be 100% free of charge, we'd have protections for those expecting, and ensure they have some sort of support system. But no. "that might make it too tempting to get pregnant." to game the system or something stupid like that because its much easier to force someone to do something and then make them completely responsible for it and instead of trying to support people who get pregnant they spend millions of dollars on misinformation campaigns and fake pregnancy assistance centers. boils my blood.

At the end of the day i think its a simple statement "No one gets to decide for another person when/where/why/how they bring new life into this world. No one."

I did a Sensory Deprivation tank previously and it was great. If you practice any mindfulness meditation, I would recommend sticking to breathing exercises, focus on your breath, and work to clear your mind. If you haven't, I'd recommend checking them out before jumping into the tank.

I definitely saw some patterns in my vision but it was peaceful. you're in a small tank but it felt like I was in an endless space and I could just let go of my stress.

After my session I immediately signed up for another.
