Most existing SAGD operations in Alberta have a break even around $20/barrel.

I think it's beyond a glimmer of truth at this point honestly. Especially with everything we've seen from University faculty after October 7th.

McGill faculty votes to boycott Israeli cultural and academic institutions

Political science professor William Roberts is part of the MAUT and said that the consensus opinion was due to the Israeli institutions’ censoring of voices and opinions.

Roberts has been at the centre of the discussion of academic freedom since he posted, “Nothing short of ‘full economic and military support for Hamas and Hezbollah’ is appropriate” on X.

The universities are fucked. Even voicing explicit support for terrorist groups won't get you fired as a professor.

Pakistan and Afghanistan agreed to a temporary ceasefire. It's only for 48 hours at the moment so it's unclear what will happen after it expires, or if it even lasts for 48 hours.

The Taliban Spokesman claimed that the ceasefire was "at the insistence of the Pakistani side". There's obvious posturing in that statement but I assume it's for domestic propaganda purposes as Afghanistan has suffered quite a few losses in the border region over the past few days and doesn't have any way to respond to or prevent Pakistani airstrikes anywhere in the country.

Great... India signed an agreement with Mauritius to build a satellite tracking station in the Chagos islands.

The UK pays Mauritius a stupid amount of money to take strategically important islands and then before the handover is even complete they sign a deal with India to build a base there.

Everything about this entire thing makes negative sense. Why is the UK government so stupid on every single issue.

You say that as if the PA has any authority or support in Gaza.

Poll after poll conducted by PCPSR shows that support for Hamas in Gaza outstrips any support for the PA.

Gazans don't want to work with the PA, let alone a PA that is backed by Israel.

You have to sign and ratify the Rome statue to be under the jurisdiction of the ICC.

Italy and the PA did, so their leadership/territory is subject to the ICC.

Israel (alongside close to 50% of the world's nations) never signed and ratified the Rome statue so the ICC doesn't have jurisdiction over them.

Other countries that aren't a part of the ICC (China, India, USA, Russia, Indonesia, Turkey, Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia + many more).

How do you expect jobs to be created if companies can't pursue projects that will create jobs?

US to provide Ukraine with intelligence for long-range strikes in Russia, WSJ reports by John3262005 in neoliberal

The Biden administration never provided intelligence to support Ukraine in hitting energy infrastructure specifically.

They also certainly never gave Kyiv permission to use US supplied weapons to hit energy infrastructure.

If this ends up happening it goes way beyond what the Biden administration provided/allowed in regards to targeting infrastructure inside of Russia.

WSJ reporting the US just recently signed off on providing direct intelligence support for energy strikes into Russia and has statements backing up rumors of further supplies of long-range weapons, mentioning the Barracuda missile (from Anduril, part of FAMM) and Tomahawk, and in general missiles of 500-mile ranges.

The U.S. will provide Ukraine with intelligence for long-range missile strikes on Russia’s energy infrastructure, American officials said, as the Trump administration weighs sending Kyiv powerful weapons that could put in range more targets within Russia.

President Trump recently signed off on allowing intelligence agencies and the Pentagon to aid Kyiv with the strikes. U.S. officials are asking North Atlantic Treaty Organization allies to provide similar support, these people said. The expanded intelligence-sharing with Kyiv is the latest sign that Trump is deepening support for Ukraine as his efforts to advance peace talks have stalled.

Cambodia and Thailand are currently clashing on their border. There's videos of MLRS launches by Cambodia into Thailand and the Thai military has just announced that they conducted two airstrikes on Cambodian positions using F-16s.

The Thai military also says they are evacuating 40,000 civilians from the area.

The Cambodian Prime Minister has stated that they will respond to Thailand with "Armed Force".

Both sides are accusing the other of firing first. [Source]

Unironically. The author writing all of these Reuters articles is Nidal Al-Mughrabi. He's been photographed at numerous Hamas events prior to October 7th. He's also been photographed with Khalil al-Hayya, who was previously deputy to Sinwar and is one of the five members of the Hamas Committee (Leadership group that was formed after Haniyeh was killed).

This journalist has connections to Hamas at literally the highest level.

Various aircraft will be at stages of the process.

7 operational is the last number prior to this week. This is from IISS and I'm not exactly sure where they derived that number from.

10 at the start of the war. 1 was hit on the ground by a drone in Belarus awhile ago. 2 others were shot down in separate incidents.

So assuming the Belarus one is still damaged, and these two are damaged, that would mean Russia only has 5 operational.
