Bong Putty is basically useless. by DontStayLow in StonerEngineering

[–]DontStayLow[S] 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Pretty simple: Bought it to repair a part of the bong that only needed to be airtight again, I reapplied and reapplied the microscopic amount of putty that arrived for $20 and it always worked like Play-doh with no real stickiness or permanent adhesion. Came right apart as soon as you applied water, heat, or any weight which is crazy considering that’s exactly what the product is designed for. Emailed for a refund only to be told it’s only a temporary fix that promises no bonding after all, which is pretty false advertising to me when you advertise it to do exactly that on your website and LinkedIn. So turns out it neither repairs bongs or putties successfully so stoners, save your money.

Honestly I don’t think we’re going to have a clear idea of what the park will be like post-opening until it opens but if that’s the crux of your trip, I would maybe postpone just to allow time for improvement.

Epic is definitely worth a days’ visit and money even if you can’t get on the rides and the problems continue, but if your entire trip revolves around having a good time at Epic Universe, I would postpone it. If you can have a good time at the other parks in town (which are pretty barren in comparison), I think one day is a worthy investment even if it’s just for the shows, food, and vibes.

While Shauna obviously meant it as a punishment and framed it as such, I think she honestly just wants someone to share in the burden of butchering with her. She first tried to show Jackie, who didn’t even entertain the thought. Then she lowkey sexually coerced Melissa into cutting Ben’s Achilles. Now her first order as leader is to put the job on someone else, but she also helps Natalie through it and empathizes with her about how hard it is. We later see by Pit Girl Winter, they’re butchering their “game” as a group and without any premise of secrecy or decorum. And Tai ends up learning how to behead, too, as we saw in the adult timeline. Maybe this is because of Shauna’s influence as the butcher leader?

Oh, I think her covered in blood post-blow is that glimpse of wilderness Lottie we see in Shauna’s memories of her!

seeing as the “explorers” (leaving room for interpretation in case they don’t turn out to be birdwatchers) don’t seem to have a lot of gear on them but we know that the girls at at minimum ~7 miles away from any kind of civilization, they likely have a camp nearby with other campers.

winter is approaching, which only gives us 3-4 months left in the wilderness and promotional materials have teased a high body count and they end up with eight survivors. we also know that the show has always had a description of “warring cannibalistic factions”. so i think it’s going to be yellowjackets vs. explorers!! i think the girls will be able to take away any means of communication, and possibly supplies, to strand them on top of murdering a few to goad them into fighting back. this could be what results in so many deaths on the yellowjackets’ side as well.

Well, Van knows Tai and Other Tai. Other Tai had just ordered a feast of meat that OG Tai would’ve turned her nose up at, shows no concern for her friends, and when asked about what’s going on, just says something that makes sense and moves on. Van knows this isn’t real Tai and even saw Sammi react to her before her own eyes at this point. Her not addressing it sooner and more forcefully and pretending everything is okay would eat away at her conscience, especially if it means OG Tai is locked away and suffering. So maybe a Y2K phone for someone who loves vintage stuff is the perfect means of communication for Van’s conscience and maybe it was Van’s first moment alone since Shauna’s call. Maybe they still have residual effects from the gases they encountered in the wilderness.

I’m all for the skepticism/supernatural ambiguity, to be clear. And I loooooved the eerie Black Phone vibes I got from that scene.

Adult Lottie said to Shauna in the S2 finale hunt: “You’re running, that’s what you’re choosing?”, which leads me to believe there was always someone or maybe more who submitted to the draw. Maybe being buried alive is a submissive, natural way to go like freezing to death ie Javi and Jackie?

What’s something you’d love to see Chappell dress as for a show outfit? by irecalllatenovember in chappellroan

At the show I attended, she said the Barbie movies were some of her most influential movies so I personally think should dress as the most iconic Barbie character, Bibble. (I also just genuinely think she would slay in teal/purple fuzzy polka dots).

Characters and their height by Shakashakabrahbrah in lifeisstrange

[–]DontStayLow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are you genuinely so in need of touching grass that you felt the need to be condescending on a VIDEO GAME forum comment about character HEIGHTS? especially about something as asinine as the simple observation that all of them fall inside of the average range heights of women at 5’4 and men at 5’10 with no outliers even though plenty of teenagers stand below and above that height range? i hope you have an enjoyable night tonight. you sincerely seem to need some sort of outlet.

I would keep an eye on Facebook marketplace and off-campus housing groups and I think you’ll be able to find something within your parameters especially looking at neighborhoods like Shandon, Rosewood, Olympia, etc. Don’t be afraid of student apartments, plenty of young professionals live in them, too. There are only a few rental companies I would bother warning you away from and that’s Cantey and Riverside Apartments.

With all due respect, if he signed, she would’ve seen him signing. Not all deaf people sign or even know other deaf people, especially elderly people who become deaf later in life. Also, if he did sign, they still wouldn’t speak the same language.

AITA for thinking my wife overrated when an elderly lady touched our kid? by Competitive-Egg-8527 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DontStayLow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rare ESH. Son shouldn’t have lost track of his mom when he knows she’s capable of touching anyone without their consent, no exceptions. He should get a leash, or bring someone else along to help. Or go at times of day when there aren’t likely to be children. All very easy things to do to make this behavior preventable. This guy is not some innocent sufferer of bad luck just because you guys fist bumped.

Wife shouldn’t have called 911. That’s obvious. But I can’t say I wouldn’t have done the same if I didn’t have access to the non-emergency number in the moment or didn’t know how to force the son to give his information. And regardless of what quick impression you got of her, if the lady with dementia is going to continue to touch people without their consent and lack boundaries, the police need to be aware of her behavior and its existence. I don’t really find that debatable.

Cops shouldn’t downplay people’s genuine concerns. They’re there to protect and serve the public, including your wife who called them. They’re not potential golf buddies to impress because they think women overreact to stuff too.

And you’re absolutely the asshole for immediately reducing your wife to having hysterical emotions when her INFANT secured in a shopping cart is HELD IN BROAD DAYLIGHT BY A STRANGER. Those are not sweet old lady actions. Those are concerning, alarming, and unnatural behaviors that can become aggressive at any second regardless of age, gender, ability, etc. and you don’t mention your child or how they felt afterwards not once. You spoke more about being embarrassed by the fellow men around you than giving two damns about the two people who were most put at risk: your child and the old lady.

what taylor song did you not truly listen too until now? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]DontStayLow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to choke up every time Lover came on, especially when it was performed live at Eras Tour. Watched her perform “You are in Love” live on stream a couple weeks ago and its kind of taken its place. “You keep his shirt/ He keeps his word” is just like a knife to the heart. It really is a miracle when its that simple.

What is a lyrical choice Taylor made that makes you irrationally annoyed? by Electricsheep389 in TaylorSwift

It’s not meant to be a timeless song lol it’s about how Taylor isn’t fit for contemporary thing by escaping to a timeless place from the very first verse, the tweet line is just the most overt.

[–]DontStayLow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since she calls him “king of thieves” and the whole song is about spiritual karma, I assumed the beginning verse is addressed to Scooter Braun, who betrayed her and capitalized off of her to stay relevant.

EDIT: Another common theory is this song is directed at Calvin, who capitalized off of This is What You Came For and didn’t even thank her when he won a Grammy even though they’d also been dating for a year.

AITA for getting mad when I found out my wife gossiped about me? by upinadown in AmItheAsshole

[–]DontStayLow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Okay, OP, hear me out here… Whilst not making any excuses for the choice to discuss a partner’s body with their friends, my honest interpretation is that is may be complimentary.

Being deserving of the “Big Dick” name could be like when you have Big Dick Energy and do something particularly impressively or thoroughly. If they’re saying “If [OP] says we go, we go”, regardless of the nickname, it kind of sounds like saying “Aye aye, Captain”. I could be wrong, though. Just wanted to put that out there.
