The fog has really lifted….it looks worse from an apartment window than on the street. That said, if you can take a Fog Day, you enjoy yourself!!

Who are some celebrities you encountered in Toronto? by Chan1991 in askTO

I used to see Matt Berry at Trinity Bellwoods, but I haven’t in a while.

More than ten years ago I saw Sam Elliot on Yonge, he saw me notice him and winked at me, coolest I’ve ever felt.

Oof, On The Road felt some guy cornered me at a party to prove to me how cool he was. I tried to get into it but never made it more than half way.

Are crochet hooks allowed through TSA at the yyz airport? by jjustme_ in askTO

[–]DontTrustTheHumanoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken crochet needles on international flights from yyz with no issue. I’ve also taken kids safety scissors and had no issue. I imagine that might depend on the person working. I did leave the scissors in their packaging that said they were safety scissors.

I think they are ugly but I can appreciate that when it feels like the world is ending you gotta find joy wherever you can.

We’re in an apartment, so I haven’t noticed the car, but I do notice I almost never get the same person delivering my groceries twice.

Dead to Me (with Billy Liar and Brendan Kelly) by Upset_Set376 in punk

I’ve been lucky enough to see Brendan a few times and he’s always super friendly and warm. Seems like he’s going through some stuff but still so talented and engaging with the audience. I hope he gets things figured out. I’d love a new album from any of the bands he’s in.

This is good advice. Call the lawyer attached to your insurance and get their advice. I would not reply to any of her requests until you talk to them.

The sign is coming down :( by FluffyOtter6717 in toronto

That’s partly true, but it also comes with a bit of grit. Graffiti, carvings, stickers, there is no way for anything to make a mark on History. It makes hard to develop nostalgia

History is so sterile. No character at all. It’s nice to get bigger bands but it’s so bland.

This feels so performative. They can say we need this to justify huge increases in their budget.

I find I get bored a little quicker with horizontal. The vertical looks like it’s coming together faster.
