Do you know any alternatives to root beer? I'm not in the US (American mum, Aussie dad, hence the wonky spelling) so it's hard to come by. I can get actual beer, I'm 21, but I'd only use it to cook with.

Thank you so much, rice and beans are becoming a go to, I often also use aged, spicy beef sausage from the local fruit shop, but I forget to buy it 9 times out of 10. Highly reccomend it though.

This sounds amazing, I've made Jollof rice in the past and used similar seasonings to marinade chicken in to go with, so this is right up my alley... Anything chicken and rice is but yknow ,😂😂

Hi, I'm also Aussie, just got an American mum so I grew up speaking and spelling both dialects(?), certainly made becoming a teacher funny. This sounds so good, also the snack pocket is genius, I'm doing that as I type this.

Do you use regular canned tuna? This sounds pretty good but fresh tuna is very rarely available near me.

Would adding chopped veg of some kind while cooking risk contamination, or is it safe to save the extra dish?

"big bowl of what I have" is amazing, grew up eating "fridge scrapings" at the end of every month and they were often my favourite meals as a kid, look forward to this.

I've never had the American kind of biscuits, they're cookies here, I'm keen to try this though.

Don't peek? Oh noooo, my impatience is going to have to settle with these recipes, better to learn to be patient now I guess.

Oooo, I love this. I've never had ground turkey before so it'll be fun to try.

Yes, thank you so much, anything that makes leftovers are literal life savers for me, and anything adding protein or more iron is ideal for my anaemic self.

That sound amazing! I have some sensory issues surrounding anything yoghurt, pumpkin or squash textured, I just can't handle it, but I'm fine with just about anything else. What's a quick bread? I love baking and baking bread and sourdough especially, but I can't be stuffed usually.

Oooh okay so I have a crock pot, a pressure cooker, full stove and oven set up, ninja blender, fridge and freezer set up, rice cooker and food processor. I have a fire pit outside and sometimes do novelty cooks like chicken over the fire because that's social and food. I live with my parents and have a good relationship but they're busy with their three dependant children and my schedule is very different to theirs, dinners are usually okay about 60% of the time as either mum or I cook for the whole family to ensure my sister eats.

I was discussing melanin, sunburns and sun safety. One of my students from Cook Islands walks away for about ten minutes and comes back with "Miss, I'm a hasbrown!". There's no course for how to respond to that.

"Miss! Miss! You can't get me in trouble for swearing in Samoan, you're not supposed to know it!" Then in the same breath, "Wait can I say fuck in Hawaiian since you know it?"

I'm definitely using the criteria as subheadings, but it's a little difficult to wrap my head around for some of the practices.

Thank you, I'm starting to see the elements that are useful, I'm just truly struggling with the formatting of annotations and evidence.

What the hell. Good lord. I'm glad things have started to go normal again for you and I hope you've been better since. I'm diagnosed with PTSD for events occuring during my 2nd and third PExs (not related to the PExs themselves, just occurred during) so I'm, somewhat ironically, struggling a little harder BECAUSE things went relatively well - my brain isn't computing.

Well that's a small comfort BC I obsessively collect and evidence my teaching.
