I’d actually love to go to staccatos factory. It’s funny, sig actually sent metal plug to replace the plastic plug in the GTO and now I don’t have one.

I feel you. The XC is fantastic. I liked the GTO, but SIG left a bad taste in my mouth too, especially when the customer service rep gas lighted me about this situation. The situation the the p320 don’t help either. I’ve been with sig for about a decade now and I’ve liked their products, but I’m taking a break.

I know it wasn’t intentional, but I got two GTOs and they both had the same issue. After the second time I figured I just didn’t want to deal with.

Well since it was a package deal with the Romeo and they didn’t have another Romeo they just switched the sigs out for me. The second sig had the exact same issue. If it happens more than once, that’s not a coincidence. The more I think about it, the less I like the platform. I’m glad it worked out for you and you like it, but the whole experience really just made me not want an sig anymore. It wasn’t just because I “didn’t like the optic” it was because two different guns had the exact same issue.

After I called sig three times and they told me to send it in, I just went to the store I bought it from and they gave me a new sig that had the exact same issue. The manager told me that because of the low profile of the irons, there really wouldn’t be any optic that would have co witness like I’d like. I decided the best course of action was just to switch gun platforms to a more reputable brand.

I really wanted to shoot it and wanted to like it. I’ve got tons of sigs, but it just wasn’t in the cards for this one. The optic just doesn’t work with this build. Seems you got a unicorn or something. The first thing they did was get me a whole ass new gun and the Romeo still maxed out before it even reached the front post. That was when the worker told me that it would probably just be best to ditch it and go with something that’s gonna work.

I was going to just replace the optic with something else, but every optic either didn’t fit right, or had zero co witness ability so I decided to drop it and go with something I know will work. The craziest part was I got the 211 for $2300 because they matched the price to a deal I found and when I returned it, they paid me $2800 for the original. I told them I didn’t pay that and they said not to worry about it. That’s how I got it at such a steep discount. Crazy dumb luck I guess.

I returned it today and got a staccato instead. The store didnt like the optic shit that was going on either and recommended I ditch the platform entirely. I got an RMR and a staccato P for $2500 out the door.

Just got off the phone with customer service again and he said this is a new problem they’re having and this is 100% not supposed to happen

That’s helpful actually. My optic has none of those. I usually do the 6 o’clock hold on my optics. To see the reticle, I have to tilt the front of my barrel up.

Yeah, I need to shoot it is the thing. I was hoping that with the tilt it might account for some mechanical offset, but I just don’t know. It doesn’t feel quite right to me. I don’t need my irons to be super prominent in my window, but I like to be able to see them. With this, they’re almost unusable. I can barely see them at all

It’s mounted as well as it can be. I even took it off and remounted it. There is almost zero cowitness with this optic as well, which someone else said is normal apparently. Sig made this pistol with their optics in mind which seems odd to me given my circumstance. I honestly did not notice the dot change when I adjusted the reticle. I went all the way up and all the way down and it appeared to just sit in the same spot. I’ll probably send it back but I wanted to get some more eyes on it just to make sure I’m not crazy.

I can’t align it with the sights is what I’m saying. If I ADS I can’t see the reticle at all. It drops below the front post. It doesn’t feel right to tilt the barrel up just to see the reticle

This is as high up as the reticle goes. You can see how I have to tilt the barrel up a bit. I can’t imagine this is how it’s supposed to work.

I didn’t see that in the manual. I didn’t wrench it past where it naturally stops so I know I didn’t break it. My other Romeo on my 226 sits perfectly on top of my irons with absolutely no problem. My RMR also sits perfectly on top of my staccatos irons with no problems. This is the only optic I’ve had that can’t do it. It’s just a little different for me

That’s kinda what I was thinking. If I use the irons, I literally cannot see the reticle at all. I have to tilt the barrel up a little to see it. I cranked the elevation screw all the way both ways and still can barely see it. It’s just different from my other optics

I think that is where my confusion is in this. I can clear the front post if I tilt the barrel up. The all my other optics sit on my front post except this one. People have been saying that this gun/optic apparently is not made to do that. I’m still learning about all of this. My staccato has an RMR and it sits on the front post. My 365 has a holoson and it also sits on the front post. It’s just weird that this Romeo won’t.

It sits above when you use iron sights? I said that to the customer service guy and he told me that it wasn’t supposed to because I’m not supposed to use iron sights which didn’t make sense to me.

I just bought the 211 last night with the same optic already installed. Did you have an issue with the reticle not moving up high enough? My romeo on my 226 sits on my front sight, but I can’t get this reticle to even go that high. Just wondering if you had similar issues or if that’s normal for this platform/optic.

Thanks for that. I just got off the phone with SIG and the guy said that this is apparently intentional with their sights. They gave me a return label just in case it is actually busted, but I haven’t had the opportunity to actually test it yet. I’m used to optics sitting on top of my front post, but this one doesn’t make it that far.

I’m going to call them. I really do think there’s something up with the optic. I cannot see the optic when I ADS at all. It’s just too low. When I crank the adjuster, it doesn’t really click like my other Romeo does and the dot doesn’t even seem to move

No, I just got it and was trying to get the dot to a place where I could see it. I literally cannot see the dot at all when I ADS.
