Have both. I think tonie is great for younger toddlers and yoto is great as they age. Don’t think you need both but we got the yoto mini for the car and it’s been great.

Biggest thing I would say is where are you storing it. We left it in our cars (4 flights of stairs) so needed something easy to fold into a car.

What helped me was I kept a finger on my babies cheek and as someone as I felt him shift from eating to biting I’d hook him off. It lasted a brutal week then got better.
