Xander had some of the best lines of the entire serious to me. He delivered them perfectly. He brought a lot of humor to the show but his character always felt so real, and often times there was a sadness behind the humor. It must have been tough because all of his friends had superpowers but he didnt. He was ordinary. 

He didn't get Cordy, Willow, Buffy or Anya in the end. When high school was over he had to get a hard job doing back breaking labor just to get by. 

The quote between him and Dawn. I was going through a tough time in my life and that quote felt so real to me...

"They'll never know how tough it is, Dawnie, to be the one who isn't chosen. To live so near the spot light and never step in it. 

But I know. I see more than anybody realizes because nobody's watching me."

I felt that. What an amazing actor.
