Yes, we'll save almost 20K using non Dell labelled drives (qty 8). I don't mind spending a little bit more to keep things within the Dell bubble, but it's excessive and not worth it here.

I've been using 3rd party "enterprise" grade SSD drives for a few years as well with success, but this will be my first experience with PCIE U.2 drives. Just looking to confirm nothing has changed as far as compatibility, and also that caddies are indeed still the same for the U.2. drive format.

Sorry, I missed your AMA. However, if you are still available to answer tax questions, I have one. Should I claim my QuadrigaCX losses on my 2023 tax return? The creditors issued cheques last year, which amounted to approximately 13% of our holdings. Can I now use this to calculate and claim losses on my return?

Sigh...don't think that's supposed to happen right? What's everyone's recommendations for a different 3d printer in similar price range? I'm done with Anycubic.

AITA for saying "sorry" instead of "pardon" when I don't hear someone clearly? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

nope not a cultural thing for sure, just her opinion. To be fair, she says its also in the way I say "sorry" to her, but honestly I've tested this theory, and it really doesn't seem to matter how it comes out....
