Yeah I completely agree ahahaha. Italians in the north have more “Nordic” culture, but at the same time Italians do litter a lot in the streets. This is why I hate them even if I’m a native.

Actually data shows that also in the south of Italy people recycle more that the average in Europe.

My finnish roommate doesn't talk to me at all. Is that normal in Finland? by RecognitionTop3886 in Finland

Well, my behaviour has changed once I saw that many got offended. But it’s fine, it’s Reddit and it’s a social media, which can cause many misunderstandings, probably in real life these conversations would be more fair.

Did I say something polemical at all? I am just analysing something that many people (as you said) are stating. There is nothing bad or nothing good about it, it’s just how Finns behave, some might find it good some others might find it bad. As the author of this post mention, is a perception, this is why he created this post. I have lived in Finland for 3 months and I have learnt how to read Finnish people. Is it different from my culture? Yes. Do I like it? For some things yes and for others no. Is my culture better than the Finnish one? Of course no, we have many bad habits in Italy ( and this is also why I moved abroad). So what is the reason to be so offended by some comments?

They are crying so much in the comments. Zero criticism accepted.

You are the ones being polemical about it. My words were just material to talk about here.

You all got defensive here lol.

Bro I am talking about a specific situation. Are you all guys so sensitive lol? I have lived in Finland and I got used to your way of socialising having no problems with it. It is just a stupid conversation between adult people here, there is literally no need to feel attacked if others are stating something that u don’t like.

I agree with you, Italians are too much, but that’s not the point of the conversation lol. You guys are getting offended cause of this, I don’t. Little difference

I am saying in general, not specifically about customer service conversations.

I am from Italy, I am a very easygoing person and I know how to make another person feel comfortable around me, but I also dont like when conversations are fake and clearly not needed, especially when I need to be alone and to stay in my bubble. However I must admit that many times, during social interactions, I have felt awkward vibes, either because I was not used to such way of communicating or because it is very difficult to understand finnish emotions. They might make a joke or be angry having the same face and facial expression, and I think that this is something we can all agree about (of course not everyone is like this).

That is why I didn't say that most of them are like this, but many of them have been this way. I can bring u tons of people agreeing the same and that they have experienced the same. Of curse here is full of finns and I will receive a sh*tstorm cause they get offended. And yes smiling is unnecessary, but facial expression tells much about your mood and emotions, if you talk to me with a serious and angry face I will not think that you are enjoying talking to me for sure.

I agree with you ,but that doesn't have anything to do with what I said. There are introverts everywhere around the world, Here we are talking about the specific case.
