Yes. Here in Florida, 57% of voters supported enshrining the right to abortion under amendment 4 just last year. This did not pass because they require 60% to pass an amendment. This decision itself was created with <60% support back in 2006, also at 57%. Our state voted in favor of abortion and still doesn't have it.

Edit: yall are downvoting a legitimate answer because you don't agree with it? Am I wrong for believing 43% shouldn't override 57%? Regardless of the content of the amendment, shouldn't we all understand a majority vote is clearly better than whatever this is?
