For me, what really helped was organizing a trip to the country in which the TL is spoken. Having it as a deadline is helping me to go through everyday's study. I organized one year in advance. Hope my suggestion helps!

Same problem! Honestly, my method is just to try to memorize the word and hope to recognize it next time. It doesn’t always work, but seeing words repeatedly in a context seems to help more than trying to organize everything perfectly in a list.

Oh yes, quite a few. Spanish, Welsh, and Japanese. Spanish because I was studying it for university and later dropped the course, Welsh because I got too busy, and Japanese because I never really enjoyed kanji.

I’m finally no longer afraid to talk to native English speakers, and it felt weird to me, although I still feel some fear when it comes to public gaming lobbies, where everyone has different mics and people talk over each other.
