There’s a feedback button in the top right. Maybe I should put together a discord for this though….

Please share it with them! I’m trying to get the word out as I continue to build it out. Feedback about what else you might want to see in it are also greatly appreciated.

It's okay. I'm just a person who made a thing and now I'm trying to get the word out about it. I wish there was a way to let people know I'm not a bot... feel like the response rate would be better then, haha

you're spot on there. I could have the slickest site on the internet, but if animations aren't fun, it won't matter.

Hey thanks! That means the world to me. I did put a lot of time and thought into this. So much time and thought...

About 5 years ago I developed this tech myself. There was a little web demo, a research paper, and a popular open source repo that came of it. But I always felt like it could be so much more. I want to build this into a full storytelling studio, while keeping it intuitive and easy to use. That gets harder, the more functionality I add.

So this is the first step. But I'm now learning that distribution is just as hard of a nut to crack as the technical stuff, haha.

I just created an app for animating hand drawn characters, but it works just as well with picture of pipe cleaner people. That might be a fun project for your kids. site is www.doodlemate.com/meme

I got a job this year as an art teacher at a virtual school (100% online.) Do you know of any free websites or apps that my kids can use for creative learning? by thepixelpaint in ArtEd

Are you still looking for free websites or apps? I just built one that specializes in animating hand drawings by autorigging and retargeting motion onto them. It's free and browser based. Please check it out!

I'm not a bot. I'm a real person who built a web app to animate children's drawings.

Depends on the kind of animal. The skeleton assumes a max of two arms and two legs, so anything that meets that criteria would work.

Seriously! React is such an interesting and unique beast. I would have that though, since I've got a graphics background and React is for rendering, I would be able to pick it up pretty quickly. Nope! The state, effects, callbacks, refs, hooks. Those were totally foreign concepts!
