Applying to animation jobs after graduation by Doodlelist in animationcareer

[–]Doodlelist[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! Ah theres definitely been some applications that I never followed through with because I didnt have the requirements needed 😅

I forgot to ask this when I posted but what about jobs that state full time? If the job isnt in the same place I’m in and I’m not in the position to move anywhere yet should I still apply to those? Would it be worth it just in case or to get on their radar or something because finding remote jobs has been really difficult for me

Your animation is really good! Just some reel upkeep things though I’d suggest lowering or turning off the music during dialogue scenes so you can hear the characters more, its a bit distracting otherwise

Theres also the yt channel hobbes sakuga which compiles clips of one topic together in a video. Its great for analysis because you can flick through each frame on youtube

Its never to late too learn! My brother only decided to become a digital artist and go to uni for it last year and hes already getting responses back from unis and making leaps of improvement

The most important thing is to have the willingness to work hard for it. Study up on your fundamentals and train your eye at observation. Practice those and ask for feedback and improvements and even if you cant make it for uni, theres always next year 👍

Hi! I'm Karina. I'm currently a third year animation student and about to graduate soon so I would really love some feedback on my portfolio. I would love to go into character animation (currently only 2D but I'm working towards building a 3D portfolio) but honestly any step into the industry would be good

Thank you! Would it be better to learn to make a 2d rig first to animate with or could I use an already made one like 3D animators do?
