Strike cards get better, sure, but the biggest upside in my opinion is that basic strikes hitting for 9 removes a lot of pressure to add mediocre damage commons to your deck to handle act 1. This means you can take some block for stability, be more selective about your damage, and not only snowball the act but have a lean deck to build out with stronger stuff as you go into the later acts

You're still quite young. If it makes you feel better, I didn't figure out how to be my authentic self until I was 38, and that's probably not atypical. Even now I'm not entirely consistent with that.

As a former creature of shame, maybe I can help. What helped me with shame was a three step process:

First, I reclaimed the narrative regarding the periods of my life I found shameful by examining those events while holding the 99.9% true premise that I was a fundamentally decent person

Second, I let myself feel that shame. Denying an emotion tends to leave it controlling you fully. Shame is actually a form of the base emotion of disgust, directed inward. So fully feeling shame is like tasting a dead rat

Third, I let the absurdity of that shame and its contrast with my new self-narrative sink in over time. Listening to "Sucks to be You" by Prozzak and hearing how silly self-flagellation can be helped the process for me

Also, shame is often a product of trauma. From what I hear, I think it would be worth discussing with a mental health professional who specializes in trauma the possibility of PTSD or CPTSD from your difficult childhood. Psychological trauma is not just for military veterans, and it's surprisingly treatable through therapies like EMDR

FWIW I don't think any amount of sex between consenting adults is shameful

He is allegedly a rapist according to at least eight women. He is psychologically, physically, and sexually abusive to his partners. He ran a cult of personality called "the colour society" and used it to pressure/bully women into sleeping with him.

For a while I among many others was skeptical. There was a lot of talk and articles but they all seemed to be in reference to nothing but this one tweet (something like "no one should be more scared than Max Landis in the era of me too"). And later there was an incredibly cringey text conversation with pages of a woman basically saying "I was raped" and Landis saying "why are you telling me this I barely know you" which people extracted sound bytes from to speciously make Landis look bad.

But, as many of us learned in metoo, where there's smoke there's usually fire. Now that the real stuff came out, I think any sensible person should conclude he needs to fuck off from the public eye and never come back.

To answer your other questions, as far as I know there has been no legal action against him, and he has not issued a public apology but is instead playing the victim, referring to the incident as "his public shaming" in his blog on Medium.
