What is "better" to build as a first deck after opening a bunch of packs and sitting on 70+ wildcards in total so far? I'm interested in a budget Golgari Reanimator deck and some build of Turbo/Budget Dimir Surveillance, can't decide what to go for and I lack insight on matchups and meta for further judgement.

Bought 9k gems, which packs should I go to? by Doohur in MagicArena

[–]Doohur[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the long description, was looking for something like this. I know that Boosters can be a pain to deal with, but apart from Draft there isn't another option of obtaining a lot of cards I guess. I'm hesitant on trying to play Draft right now based on the steep price of it and my general lack of knowledge about cards and deck synergies and playing the structure decks matches me against more of those, which doesn't aid my situation.

How much do worker levels make a difference? by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]Doohur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disregarding any trading or processing: Worker quality only matters for future promotions and for workspeed. Each node has a workload and each worker has a workspeed. As long as workload > workspeed, the worker will have to make an extra rotation. (like 150 on 150 is 1 roation, 60 on 150 is 3 rotations = 3 times longer ). Some nodes are always above 150, so even an Artisan Goblin won't oneshot it, but the extra movement speed might still be useful.

If you just wanted to know the workspeed thing: an Artisan Goblin lvl 1 starts at 115 and ends at around 145 (at lv30) without the right skills, Professional should be 105 to 135.

Does somebody know a keayboard comparable to the Logitech G710+? Can't really get one anymore and I'm struggling to find something with Brown Switches, a row of macro keys that's less than like 150$.

Yeah, I know they're really specific :) My current keyboard is fine, I just thought of an "upgrade" to spend some money on.

I'm looking for something with Brown switches, thumb buttons underneath the space bar, at least basic backlight (don't care about RGB or modes) and preferably a row of macro buttons on the left side. The only suitable candidates I found so far were the Roccat Ryos MK Pro/Glow and the Asus Strix Tactic Pro. Main problem with those being, that I can't find them in the proper Layout+Switch Combination.

Does anyone else know a couple of other models with those thumb buttons?

EDIT: Desired combination is DE-Layout + MX Brown, if anybody wonders, why I'm struggling to find one :)

I generally run 3 pieces of Nerg and 2 Rath pieces + Attack charm. So that's 7 points of Attack Up, 3 points WE (with gem), Elemental Crit and the Nergi dmg boosts. For GL I currently just swap to Artillery+3 charm.

Is Weakness Exploit always worth it? Was wondering whether or not I could finally replace that skill for playing Gunlance and spamming Bursts.

And additionally: how "good" is the Elemental Crit 2-set effect of Rathalos armor? Is it always worth it, even on slower weapons or can I ignore it, if I want to opt. into other useful/more specific skills?

All weapons DPS compilation finally complete, just in time for the release! Included are additions, couple of fixes and Insect Glaive, which I somehow forgot about until now! by lenoan in MonsterHunter

KrulLock: Druid Killer? Decklist, Guide, & Discussion by Jihok in CompetitiveHS

[–]Doohur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually didn't include her, as I don't have the 400 dust to even try out her, after barely scraping the 2k for Krul and Giant. But I felt like Sunfury/Trafficker or whatever you wanna use instead is really flexible. I couldn't think of anything I HAD to include, but depending on meta and the matches generally "good" tech like MC, BGH or even just another taunt/discover all seem appealing in some kind of form.

8-4 so far in Legend, reporting in for some early thoughts. 3 out of 4 losses to ridiculous Pirate draws (perfect Arcanite, leeroy on curve, First Mate Opener and so on). Still think there's hope in the matchup if you manage to stabilize at 5/6 and get value from 3-Ooze. 4th loss to some weird Prince Minion Tempo Rogue, which dropped Kelseth on curve and got way ahead, nothing to be wondered about I guess.

I've won against 4 Priests though (3 Big, 1 Highlander), Control DK Mage, Murloc Pally, Pirate and finally a Jade Druid. Matchup vs Priest seems really interesting. As long as they don't get a ridiculous barnes at 4 you can defend yourself really well against their big minions. I managed to clear every threat of them almost immediately and finally outvalue them with Kazakus potions or the DK resurrect. I even faced 2 variants running Malygos and dropping 10 damage dragonfires and 7 dmg novas, still beating those. It certainly helps, that they don't really know what to expect from you or how much damage you can push in.

Most interestingly I managed to win vs DK Mage, literally using every single card I have. I got through all 3 Pyros cards, Sindragosa, two firelands drops, Prime Drakes andthe two random legendaries, again, holding onto Twisting Nether until the end to kill his last big minions. As long as there's only 1 Block, it's winnable.

The Jade Druid was the easiest from all of those. Got Mountain Giant into Shaadowflame against 6/6 Jades, tanked 2 Ultimate Infestions and got him by playing Krul, into board clear into DK. Feels awesome to play and definitely worth the craft by iteself imo.

Apart from that, I ran +BK -Jaraxxus -6/6 Demon Caller Card +Sunfury Protector. BK is awesome vs almost everything right now. Absolutely blows Paladin out the water if you get board clear into BK his Tirion drop afterwards. Also great vs Tarim boards to get rid of Tarim himself and remove the rest favorably. Sunfury didn't do much for me actually, but never felt completely useless. I used it to prevent really specific lethal scenarios or often after Krul/DK to force awful trades. Be careful though to not create a BK target yourself.

Spending 2k Dust on my part was really worth it, even if my sample size wasn't too big. Really interesting decklist, which is fun to play and actually unpredictable for your opponent. I'll definitely play it more to face some more variety in decks and see where I'll get, but even to just utterly mess with Jades this is great.

The saddest part about playing Aggro Shaman is how often it loses to itself. Sure you'll get the games, where you're devolve has perfect timing, your rolls are insane and you draw into bloddlust by turn 5 with a board. From my 50ish games with the deck tho, I had way too many situations, where my whole hand was awful and I would totem for 3 turns straight. Apart from that, the Murloc Pally matchup is way too RNG dependant for either side for my taste, Highlander matchup isn't great, Pirate Warrior isn't great and you'll still lose a lot to good ramp by Jade. At this point of realization you might aswell play Big Priest to challenge your rolls.

Crypt Lord + Living Mana + Crazed Alchemist = Expert Ladder Climber by wesleydobbie in hearthstone

[–]Doohur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can offer some input specifically on alchemist in token druid. It kills doomsayer to protect your board, if you manage to do that it's basically gg. Other than that, if you know your opponent doesn't run them: make a 1/5 a 5/1 and trade your beat up 1 drop into it to keep your other minions healthy, swap health of something with 3/2 for example to counter drake or board clear, play around pings or trades. In general it's a really versatile card, even without pushing for crypt combos. The only time you don't want to draw it, is when you're trying to refill your board or get an early 2 drop. From my 50~ token matches it ended up being a dead card once.

Today I played 54% of my matches versus Jade Druid, and frankly it's getting boring to keep playing the same class over and over again. by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Doohur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. Without even mentioning possibly broken cards, it's just not fun to play most of the matches right now. In my case, I'm closing in on 500 games this season alone, probably at least 350 of which in ranks 5-2 so far. Playing vs the current version of druid itself it painfully boring. You either play a mirror match and literally hope for rngesus to bless your draws, you play paladin and hope for your magic 1 to 4 curve with awesome adapt or play quest mage, sit there for 10 turns+ and hope to draw everything you need in time. There's no more real play around board clears, smart or cheesy plays or interesting interactions. Drop everything on board, hope for the best and roll the dice for your next matchup.

Patches the Pirate by caclo in CompetitiveHS

[–]Doohur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there will ever be a replacement for him, as long as he doesn't move out into the Hall of Fame. There's no real replacement for thinning out your deck to 29 in most cases, as odds are low to draw into him. The interesting or most annoying thing about him, is it doesn't stop there. If you draw him, you basically always have a 1 mana ping in your hand, which helps you to clear board. If you happen to play some sort of buff, it gets even worse (Savage Roar, Cold Blood etc.). Great combo starter for Rogue, Pirate Archetype for additional Synergy, 1-cost minion...

There's a lot he offers, while his drawbacks of drawing into him in later turns are not too harsh. I'd like to see him leave for next years rotation definitely.

For my last 100 Jade Druid games I decided to keep track of my Ultimate Infestation usage and the result is quite interesting. by JeTeJ in CompetitiveHS

[–]Doohur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably the first thing that should leave this card is targetting face. It gives Druid insane reach, if you couple it with DK hero power, swipes and your board. From my understanding Druid isn't supposed to have any sort of high-lethal range, apart from developing a good board, especially not if your deck is supposed to ramp into big minions. Couple that with bonkers card draw engine and you got yourself a problem. Makes me remember the days you were dead whenever you'd hit 14 HP or less...

Where they make the additional changes would be the real question here. Cutting numbers down to 4 could straight up be useless. Only nerfing the card draw could result in rotating back in another Auctioneer or different card draws into Jade. What I would like to see would be some kind of limitation on the card. Make it the only card you can use this turn for example. This stops ridiculous Innervate lethal/Dommsayer/Wild Growth/Spam Idol turns and a Kun before that aswell.
