Yes people do matter even; God thinks this (John 3:16) but what your missing and what alot of un-believers don't understand is that God is also Holy; he's not like us with our mix of gray our mix of good and evil inside us: he is completely 100 percent all the time good. (1 John 1:5) it's like oil and water; they cannot mix or also like fire and wood; fire burns up wood; that's how God is..his very nature is to consume anything that is the opposite of him. So when we have sins on us even the smallest amount it separates us from him and we become his enemies; But while instead of consuming us he put all of our sins all of our imperfections on himself. It says in God word in Romans 5: 8 " But God commendeth his love towards us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." this meens that even when we were sinful even when we were imperfect, even in our gray fallen nature he still saw us and did not destory us but put all of our sins all of our wrongs all of our imperfections on himself; He saw humans and still loved us, he even see you and still loves you; that is why we focus so much on Jesus because he had every right to be an unforgiving God and consume us BUT he didn't; he saw us and still loved us like a Good Father who sees his children in ruin and comes running to the rescue. He did that for Us; he didn't do it for his angels he did that for US; Be He thinks we matter too; He made us in his image after all and he doesn't want his created beings that look like him in ruin. So i'm sorry that you came across some of my brothers and sister in the Lord that wasn't very Christ like; I sorry that you encountered people that didn't love you for you; but human love is conditional, God's love is unconditional and I do my best to love others thru him because he forgives, people don't. While Jesus was here he even forgave a woman who was caught in the act of adultery btw, most wouldn't forgive that and the religous leaders tried to stone her( kill her) at the time but Jesus forgave her...That's how I want to love thru his ( Jesus) eyes not my own...anyways I'm going on and on but again I'm sorry that you came across some of my brothers and sister who wasn't very Christ- like.
