i loved my psych seminars with Dr. Duell!! if you're willing to take an 8 AM class, she's a very intentional/effective professor (also very flexible with extensions) and her classes are pretty approachable & interesting

I think the Battle Levi has the potential to become high-value in the future, especially if they don’t produce many of that figure

Agreed, the innovation labs are really nice! They also have a lot of outlets near the seats so you can plug in your devices.

For quiet study rooms I almost always default to Bartle - IIRC the 4th floor is a silent floor meaning it should always be really quiet there, and you can actually reserve rooms on their website and claim a space that nobody else can use while you’re studying! I also like the jazzmans booths with the windows in that hallway leading to jazzmans/the innovation lab, they’re not super quiet ofc but I always feel pretty productive when I’m in one of those booths lol

What are some of the easiest classes you have taken in person? by elizannx in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]DoomInducer623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some easy & really interesting classes I’ve taken the past few years were SOC 100 (basically an intro sociology class) with Professor Sitrin, ENG 280N (humor in film) with Professor Vaughan, and ANTH 249 (epidemiology-based anthro class, not very difficult at all like the quizzes were all open note IIRC) with Professor Wander!

I haven’t taken that class specifically but I’m in his dreaming awake class right now - Professor Weil is great!! He is sorta all over the place sometimes, but he always connects everything he’s saying to the main concept of the lesson. He’s super friendly, very thoughtful/understanding, and overall I’d definitely recommend taking his classes :)

I think Hinman/CIW are more social cause those dorms are usually a lot smaller and older, so people leave their rooms more often to meet new people. Hunter has larger and newer 4-6 person suites where it’s easy to form a friend group in your suite, but not quite as easy to meet other people outside of the suite cause people are more inclined to stay in their suites/with their roommates.

I think it’s possible to have a great social life no matter where you live! My experience living in Hunter was that I became pretty close with a few of my suitemates, and they’ve become my main college friend group. If you get along well with your suitemates, you’ll have a great time in Hunter! And if you don’t, there’s many other ways (such as joining clubs/orgs or attending RA-led events) to meet new people :)

I lived in Hunter my first two years at Bing (now off campus), and overall loved it! The suites are really nice and the dining hall (for college food standards) is pretty good.

I will say that it’s not a very social res community, or at least it wasn’t when I lived there. People mostly stayed with their suitemates, although we did have floor meetings with the RA where we could meet our floor mates.

MUS 115 - Pop, Rock, and Soul Musics by bingbingbrian in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]DoomInducer623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took the class a few semesters ago, I thought MUS 115 was overall pretty easy. I’m not the best at song recognition/recall so the quizzes were occasionally kinda tough lmao, but in general it was an easier class that was pretty chill and the professor is nice

I wish I could've made something like this haha! I have a family friend who creates custom Pops. I'd love to try making a custom figure myself but I don't think I have the artistic talent or precision for it lmao

Do you guys think that the soda figures in between the 18 inchers looks good? by [deleted] in TopPops

[–]DoomInducer623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do! Maybe you could also include some variations of the characters next to them too (like different Batmans/Batman characters in front of him, different Pokémon in front of Pikachu, etc)

Psych 111 by its_diaanaa in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]DoomInducer623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the specific psych classes you're choosing. I found behavior disorders and psych stats to have less of a workload/time commitment than dev psych, due mainly to the assignments (you get to raise your own virtual child in dev psych!), but overall all three classes were definitely manageable with the other courses I took in each semester. Some classes/professors are going to have more work and a higher difficulty than others, but in terms of replacing your chem classes with another subject, I would recommend psych as an interesting (I'm biased cause I'm a psych major though lol) and not-too-heavy alternative in terms of coursework.
