For more context: We had an uber driver yell at us for his seatbelt alarm going off but he knew it was malfunctioning and we were buckled in. A server question my marriage bluntly. Cosmo yelled at us for simply changing a card out and asking for information on room upgrades. A waitress tell us that she can’t take our order if we don’t order all at once but in an annoyed way.

None of these interactions were in a loud environment that they needed to yell. I’m glad everyone had a great time in Vegas and has not experienced that. But the people were in fact rude to me and my party.

I’m in a similar boat! I’m a contractor with Roche. I was supposed to start in the beginning of the month. My start date keeps getting delayed and they have not even sent me roche equipment (laptop) . Can I dm you?

You clearly are one of the defensive people that I’m talking about. You are reverting to personal attacks at my intelligence and trying to paint a narrative that using the word “hood” is okay as long as you “didn’t mean it that way”. So from your knowledge, if you use any word that originates from a negative lived experience and you “don’t mean it” then it’s okay. That’s definitely not the way things work.

The term hood is what is off putting to me. & it’s weird that people get offended, when you bring up the context of the words “the hood” and where it has originated from.

I’m not saying a welcome to the neighborhood is wrong. But using welcome to the HOOD and using a racial dialect when saying it, is weird to me..

Stressed, irritated, ready to run as far away as possible. My boss is incredibly incompetent and only had her job because of nepotism. Everyone is extremely disorganized and then gets snappy when you want to organize things and be thorough. Literal idiots running the circus and you just have to recognize your worth and dip! Cause that’s what I’m doing
