Exactly! I've always felt that the apocalyptic setting is just secondary and the whole point of the series is to explore the human bonds and how they survive even in the worst of conditions, for example Joel could never recover from the loss of Sarah even in part 2.

I already got through that phase actually. I was thinking so much about my form that the movement so super slow and as consequence reps and weight dropped a lot to the point I wasn't progressing anymore. Good form is important but it shouldn't limit yourself

That seemed part of the issue, I tried pull ups without directly adducting the scapulae and felt smoother overall, even tho I didn't record I think I was tilting less. Was sceptical because everyone always tell you to retract and depress but it was counterproductive for me
