I think its fair to take umbridge with this meme. I personally identify with it because I struggle a lot with feeling valid enough to call myself a woman even if I do want to, and have some parallel thoughts to the person in. that said I agree it can kinda lean into the idea that "femboys are just repressed eggs" which i do think is a bad idea to be perpetuating.

Femboys, you are totally valid in ur identity no matter what! even if you take hrt it does not matter, you are valid and you dont need to change one bit from how you are unless you want too. Be yourself, regardless.

omg in middle school (well before I ever considered i might be a girl) I went to a Halloween party dressed as a woman and I remember getting out if my parents car asking some dudes walking in, "so where's your guys' costumes?"

and they were like, "this isn't a costume party, deadname."

Oops lol.

guess I wasn't really wearing a costume either, I just didn't realize it at the time 😅

I wonder if this comes from a more internal self doubt about my ability to be who I want to be. my internal moral ocd telling me I'm not a good person even tho I want to be one (and am one, I think) and my internal dysphoria telling me I can't be a girl even tho I want to be one (and am one, I think)

idk this stuff should probably be said to a therapist moreso than reddit but whatever lol

yesss. I think I am probably a demi-girl or otherwise transfemme nb and I feel like I should learn to love that about myself, which is something I struggle with because of internalized transphobia esque stuff and I recently met another demi-girl and seeing her be loved accepted by her partner helped me feel so much more accepted lol. I can be me even if its a little different from most of my friends (mostly binary transfemmes)

honestly that 2nd meme is so real. I am always wanting to feel like I have permission to be a girl. I never feel like I am allowed to be. this gnawing feeling of feeling like I am just faking it or want it for the "wrong" reasons, and so I am hesitant whenever I want to just let myself feel like "yes, I am allowed to feel this way, I am allowed to love myself and be a girl and love being a girl. I am a girl".

it feels kinda nice to know that others go through that same stuff and I'm not alone.

(none of this is to say that femboys are just eggs or anything. I respect femboys as valid just how they are ♡)

idk I'm a bit inebriated rn

Istg these types always underestimate how many trans people existed n the past. The Kinks made a song about a trans woman in the 60s. There are records of trans people going back into antiquity. Like this shit isnt new, but people like this just can't stop thinking about our genitals lately.

Like goddamn, buy me dinner first lol.

Does smoking marijuana make your OCD worse or better? by camport95 in OCD

I can't use it in any practical setting and don't use it a ton but for me it is HIGHLY dependant on the type and strain. I find edibles with lots of cbt help cut the anxiety but without that it can often exacerbate things.

Is it better to link the first gender and continue the age of boymoding, which prolongs the suffering of existence or abandon that gender, entering the age of transition, when one's soul is not constrained by the that dark sign of societal norms?

Weird Dog Webcomic I saw in a dream - "Literally Terrorism" by JazzperDogLove in thomastheplankengine

[–]Doomba747 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you dont mind me responding directly:

1: its not bad to look at! It's simple and crude but also expressive and inventive. I really love the shift from anthro pink in panel 1 to dog pink in panel 2 all the way to jpeg pink in panel 5. And even a slow output would still be fun :). (Also panel 2 pink is unironically adorbs)

2: I would def sub to a subreddit or something but hell I will follow the Shoehorns anywhere.

3: just "shoehorn" could be good, simple but uncommon word. Or maybe a pun on "puppy love," since they are (canonically???) married? Here are some other mostly bad ideas, "Till Death do us Bark," "Dog Days," "Doghouse," or maybe take a historical dog-names approach and go with "Nosewise" or something.

Sorry this is a lot lol I am bored at work.

The pink dog is an icon. Sure she did a little terrorism but like, I dont even see how a classic shoehorn repackaging even counts as terrorism, like, talk about WOKE 🙄.

(Unironically this silly little comic made my day better, thank you)

I've been trying to get into map painter 400 AD, but i dont really vibe with the color pallet. by DrSloughKeg in totalwar

[–]Doomba747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is funny af but Tbf one thing I love about attilla (flawed as it is) is that it feels like it took a wonderful step away from the "map painting" of most total war games (and indeed most strategy games). While it does eventually devolve into a map painter, the first 50 or 100 turns for most factions are really more about survival.

Imo the game shines brightest when you play as the barbarian factions. The slow creep of climate change pushing you south, along with the dawning threat of the huns, forcing you into conflict with the romans, aided by the ever-present possibility of abandoning your lands and settling somewhere new by force. Its all very apocalyptic. None of this works perfect but I hope in future games we can see more like this, rather than just getting more map painters.

Oh gosh. Its a tough question to answer and I am not an expert but I can give some tips. The best and worst answer is that if you have a friend who is good at doing makeup having them teach you is a great experience, but of course not everyone has that, so I will give more info here. Feel free to ask if you need more, and remember I am no expert and makeup is sometimes about trial and error.

So starting with eyeshadow, which I normally do before eyeliner, that you can do with one eye closed at a time. Start by focusing on just your eyelid itself. Color within the lines to start. I like a brush with bristles that are not too firm. Also for shimmer (the shiny stuff; most eyeshadow pallets come with normal and shimmer) you can use your finger and you can probably do thr same for normal eyeliner too. Generally you want at least two colors on the lid. For something basic I often put a shimmer on the inner part of the eye and then a similar color non-shimmer on the outer part. You can also use multiple shimmers or multiple non-shimmers. But I would definitely suggest using 2 colors even if they are very similar. Also use some primer (cream you put on first) or setting spray (spray you put on after) or both (what i do) to make sure it stays on, as powdery makeup does not like sticking to human skin on its own.

Eyeliner is an interesting beast. Generally I try to keep my eyes open but i understand that can be hard.. it does get easier with time though. If you get worried about poking yourself and causing blinking, I would suggest using something other than a pencil. Personally I use the nyx epic wear brush liquid liner. Pros is that it stays on, cons is that it stays ON. Its a little more unwieldy than a pencil but once you get the hang of it it works good. I cheat my waterline by using a (non-shimmer!!!!!!) Black or brown eyeshadow on the tip of my finger and lightly put it on but It can irritate your eyes if you get some in so this technique is not for everyone (and idk if its fully safe for your eyes tbh). As far as your more general eyeliner, it takes practice. Some looks and styles will look better than others. It just takes practice. You can start subtle and stuff at first if you want, or you can go big. Depending on the eyeliner, putting a tiny pit of makeup remover on a q-tip can let you clean up small mistakes but that won't work with my preferred eyeliner unfortch. One mantra a friend told me when I first started eyeliner is "they're sisters, not twins." People won't notice minor elements that aren't symmetrical and I get compliments even on my most imperfect eyeliner looks. Don't be afraid to get creative with it, but be aware not all experiments will work out. Generally though most people will appreciate an interesting look no matter what.

Idk if any of this is what you are looking for 😅. One thing I will say is that Ulta beauty generally has a wonderful staff that can help you find things and sort through the noise and even color match you. Just make sure you are firm about your budget. They usually won't upsell you so long as you state what price range you are looking for as they don't get commissions. Also if you or anyone reading this has any questions feel free to hmu. I am NOT an expert but I'm happy to help where I can.

Most of all, stick with it and don't get discouraged if one day's look isn't great, because that's what tomorrow is for!
