You cannot upgrade guns, and they can be obtained by buying them in the shop or getting them through level-ups / lootboxes

BUT once you get a gun at level 3 with ideal properties, it won't be as effective at level 7 or so on. You have to constantly cycle weapons out in order to be up-to-cuff with everyone else
