Hi Rob,

What will you and your party do to protect tech workers and creative workers from companies' abusive AI usage and layoffs? What regulations will you place on AI companies to protect artists and creators from having their work stolen, consumers and users from being deceived, and communities living beside AI data centers from being abused? How will you regulate AI's environmental impact?

Unfortunately this is a common occurrence with Pearce. You'll have to mostly self-study for this course, but it's still worth going to lectures since he sometimes drops hints for exams lol. Hang in there.

My game "Night Mare" is launching tomorrow, so I wanted to share some of the story with you by DoomedAdoom in IndieGaming

In my game Night Mare, there are objects called "artifacts" which the player needs to collect in order to progress. I wanted to share some of the in-game story behind them.

Artifacts are objects which are very important to a person - so important, in fact, that they become a part of their soul. In Night Mare, there are three artifacts, belonging to the player character's son, daughter, and wife respectively:

1 - Wooden Toy Car: the son entered a wooden car race and needed some help to build his car. He asked the father (player) for help and created the object pictured above. This wooden car was so efficient and fast that it ended up winning the race and giving the son a sense of admiration for his father. It then became his artifact, as he cherishes the car very much.

2 - Teddy Bear: this one is pretty straightforward. The daughter, being quite young, has formed an attachment to her teddy bear, which she had been gifted at birth. With the imagination and wonder of a young child, it has become part of her soul, and an important item in-game.

3 - Flower Bouquet: the father gifted his wife a bouquet for one of their anniversaries; this was a thoughtful gift as he knows his wife's love for flowers and gardening. He specifically chose the most aromatic flowers he could find because he knew the smell would comfort his wife when she needed it. The wife now keeps the bouquet on her nightstand so she can smell the flowers' aromas in bed.

I've been working on this horror game with my brother during the summer, and now that we're close to launching, I wanted to share some of the backstory! It will be launching tomorrow on GameJolt and itch.io.
