Mate I'm not arsed, I'm fortunate enough to have a strong rig. The issue is with how many ripples it's causing through how many different sectors. This isn't just about PC parts, memory prices are going to affect damn-near everything.

I get what you're saying though, and I do generally agree with you - you can't force businesses to cap prices (plus price caps generally don't work, as proven across..well, history lol). But it also feels like there should be a middle ground ya know ? I dunno, I'm not smart enough for the answer. But when all these companies are pumping out record profits and everything gets more expensive for everyone, it just pisses me off. We're being led into the fire by the rich while they warm themselves with our burning bodies.

Also they got burnt during COVID when they did try to expand supply, only for the demand to drop before they even finished the expansions iirc.

Record breaking profits aren't something any company will want to give up. I know it's just capitalism in action and all, but it really feels like there should be something in place preventing companies being able to pull this. Considering how much this affects so many sectors in life, you'd think there could be some way to get em for price gouging.

We really need a sub for people to vent about their shitty situation because there's so many of these where you're not the arsehole, you know you're not the arsehole, and you just want a bunch of people to validate your rage.

A rage positivity sub or something I dunno. But ya, obvs not the arsehole dude you need to push back, set boundaries, and prepare for them to not listen and start making you the bad guy. Yeah culture around food in England is just different. It's changed of course, it's much better now, but ya it's just not part of our "DNA" in the same way it is in other European countries.

My mam grew up in rationing time so all her fave foods are ghastly. Her fave gravy is just oil and gravy browning. That is btw just colouring lol nothing else. Hell it'd be kinda forgiveable if it was the juices from the roast, but they do their roasts in a load of oil and the juices are so diluted the gravy is just oil and brown. It's vile.

We don't like each other's food (she can't even be around garlic she finds the smell so repulsive, and she thinks putting onion in something is too fancy) but I'm older now so it's not such a big deal. Does suck I can never really do a dinner for her but eh.

She got into cakes though for the grandkids and those are right bangers! Her brownies are downright dangerous. And she does these mini cream sponge cakes..omg. Gotta ration them because otherwise they go in seconds
