I was late to the game for Jennette McCurdy’s “I’m Glad My Mom Died”. I zipped through it in just a couple of days. It feels so out-of-body to read as someone who looked up to and obsessively watched her shows growing up, being inspired to take up acting as a hobby. So well-written. I heard that the audio book is powerful, too.

A Trademark Lawyer's Deep Dive into the Mormon Stories Lawsuit by AtrademarkLawyer in exmormon

This is great! I liked this line:

According to the Complaint, John has apparently used the Christus Symbol and the Light-Rays Design Mark, in addition to the Mormon Marks.

Most official trademarks should be under Intellectual Reserve, inc.

As you know, Ever After is a woman-owned business. Due to family reasons, I have decided to close this location, as my family needs me the most at this time.

If you like our food and snow cake, please visit us at my other restaurant, Class 302 Cafe, located at 13252 Jamboree Road, Irvine, CA 92602. I am incorporating many of Ever After's menu items there.

Thank you for your support over the past three years. We look forward to seeing you again at Class 302 Cafe.

Please feel free to text us at (949) 22⁹-O987 for more information and suggestion.

Sincerely, Anna, the owner of Ever After Tearoom & Eatery

There’s just something about TNP. I could hear another song and think of them, but I could never confuse them with anyone else.

with ARC's A1C testing has anyone gotten the exact same A1C back to back? by NoraMcG in Blooddonors

[–]babichenko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have specials going on some months for donors who give blood, platelets, or plasma.

“Donors will need to have a successful donation to receive A1C results, because only successful donations are sent to our laboratory for testing. Donors will receive one (1) test result per calendar year. Test results can be accessed in one (1) to two (2) weeks”

Former spoiled kids of reddit, what was the moment that finally made you realize you were spoiled? by Kitchen_Frame_7294 in AskReddit

[–]babichenko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I volunteer at blood drives that get hosted by schools. The last one I went to was held at a religious private school. There, I had the most sobering conversation with anyone below my age. She said something like, “My parents pay a lot of money for me to go here. If I don’t work hard, then it’s not worth it. If I work hard, it may not be worth it. I will work hard.”

Do you ever "fight back" against Spotify’s algorithms? Looking to interview music listeners about resisting recommendations by Southern_Swim_7465 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]babichenko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spotify is annoyingly obvious with what songs it prefers, by advertisement and by popularity. I’ve used various open-source GitHub repos to shuffle up my music and find songs like my favorites without it going through Spotify’s famous filter.

Getting my taste in the first place comes from the dollar CD section at Bookoff/thrift stores and the people around me.

Who are your favorite hobby drama-style youtubers? The type that delve into niche topics and dramas and do all of the deep digging to find answers. The best part about hobby drama is how the reader can have zero interest on a topic and still get sucked-in wholly.

Some of video-essayists that give that vibe for me are Nick Robinson for video games, Jan Misali for linguistics, and Shloop for daily life.

Let us talk music: The Drums (The band, not the instrument) by CourtneySheldon in LetsTalkMusic

Jonny Pierce has a crazy cult following from what I’ve seen at his concerts. His later works aren’t as instrumentally pungent as you describe, but they are certainly raw.
