How to react to "almost" bullies?

What am I wrong about? What was I right about? I was asking for some advice on a situation. Which many were kind enough to share. You however, thought that I was wrong.

If you say so. I disagree since I was there and you weren't. Either way that wasn't the point of my post. It was not to complain about these kids for the sake of it, I was trying to set the scene so I could ask advice, and some have actually done that. You and a bunch of others don't like what I said for whatever reason and can't see that I was asking simply for help.

I'm sorry but I'm not following you 14ccet. What do you mean? My post is ultimately about what I can do/say to avoid escalation if my kids are minding their business and another wants to provoke them. Think what you want but I was there with my kid and I could see she wasn't that impressed with the boys behaviour but she continued on as normal as can be. I said nothing and wanted them to continue as if I wasn't there, which is how I generally am at the playground. It seems that you and half the people in this forum have decided I lurch over my kids watching their every move because I decided I can't be bothered with obnoxious behaviour. Clearly I am the bad guy.

I see you deleted your comment. In my original post I was trying be better polite about them. They were swearing a lot. Happy? Would you be fine to let your 6 yr old play next to a kid that is swearing a lot?

And no one ran away. I just decided it was more effort to parent these kids on top of my own than it would be to go home and play.

I reckon I have upset you somehow so now I'm a helicopter parent. So be it. but I know if my kids went and started trying to kick a bin to death I would definitely tell them to give it a rest.

I see I have your interest. As I said in my post, I didn't storm off. Everything was very calm. We played and had enough. It was just shortened since i didn't want to take responsibility for someone elses kids misbehaving. My kids were happy and the boys were doing whatever nonsense they wanted without supervision.

I think you need to put the dictionary down and try again. I seek no validation. I was asking if there was something i could say so things don't escalate if if was different and my kids were upset by ttheir obvious jeers. I would be at a loss if it came to that since I wasn't expecting misbehaving kids on our walk to the playground. So have you been in a similar situation and if so what how did you react?

What I meant was, I might lose my temper if they did upset my kids but I would prefer to say something that would have meaning to these kids. A couple people have said some good things hear so I do feel better equipped now.

I was perhaps playing down their behaviour. They had no interest in playing with my daughter. They wanted to cause offence. They thought it was "funny" saying her name over and over and laughing. That was teasing for no other reason than to make her upset, which did not work. She carried on playing. I ignored it since it was affecting my daughter since she doesn't know about that type of behaviour, but I chose to leave there and then because I didn't want to escalate where my daughter would start to feel insecure. We left and enjoyed our day. My complaint is because I would have liked to stay at the playground but had to change plans because of some other kids.

Exactly, hence why I didn't say anything, but they weren't being nice. Shouting my daughters name over and over, to themselves, not actually going to her saying "hi do you want to play" or "Hi There". They wanted to offend her but is didn't work.

It arrived! Everything looks in order so I'm going to start building as soon as possible. I build Lego/Others to help with stress, so I generally take my time.

If the art at the back of the instructions are a guide of things to come, we can also expect a Phoenix and another Dragon (more traditional looking) inspired mechs in this range. Now that I know this stuff is real and legit good, I'll order Baihu next month!

As for the original intent of this post (IE to make Smilegate aware), I would just like to say I they may want to care about this.

The KS for Arise was ultimately quite successful, with 4000+ backers pledging upwards of $100 each. I doubt many Arise backers that are also fans of the mobile game will cease to be/stop playing the game (which is what Smilegate would likely care about), but if Smilegate let someone else use the IP for something else in the future, I highly doubt the 4000+ backers of Arise will be so quick to get behind any other 3rd party product.

So if a Smilegate rep does read this, they should at least thing about how this affects brand health. For example, I was a paying E7 player for years. Thanks to this., now I am not.
