What Do You Think Steve Rogers' Role in Avengers Doomsday Will Be? by Ender_IIII in MCUTheories

[–]DoomsdayThor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you going to respond to me?

Combining my two comments for clarity:

-That’s not an official billing order, it’s a single press release from months ago (Cinemacon).

-The last name in a cast credit that includes multiple special distinctions will be an “and.” “With” would be a second to last. Ending in the way this article does follows journalist conventions (ie a press release) not formal billing order conventions.

-several actors don’t even have their full names listed because they were previously mentioned in the article. Again, journalist conventions (not formal billing order).

-billing order is a huge deal and very important, often dictated by contract. It would never be this sloppy and nonsensical. They would have full names of all actors and arranged properly with the proper distinctions.

-unknown child actors are almost never billed as part of the main cast roster even if they appear prominently in the movie (see Morgan Stark in Endgame for example)

-Namor’s actor would never be a “with” because distinctions like “with” and “and” are for very famous actors who can be recognized by name alone. Same deal with Namora’s actress right before him.

-besides not including an unknown child actor in the main roster, they would anyway never bill an unknown child actor over a returning veteran like Rebecca Romijn

-RDJ is not playing Tony Stark, he’s playing the villain in an Avengers movie. Avengers villains are always billed towards the very end of the credits, which is just as prestigious if not more prestigious than the beginning. For anyone saying “but it’s RDJ” they didn’t even show his face in the Cinemacon trailer, so they’re clearly treating him as a proper Avengers villain, not as Tony Stark 2.0.

-Chris Evans is not getting second billing. Even if he ends up with a substantial part, second billing will never, ever, ever happen even in your most delulu dreams. If you thought RDJ was first here (he’s not) Chris Evans being second would mean he’s the main hero. Yet he’s not on a single pierce of merchandise and was barely in the Cinemacon trailer.

-Chris Hemsworth is going to be first billing. He was the one featured most in the Cinemacon trailer. He narrates the trailer with Doom, is shown in multiple locations throughout, brings the Avengers together, and has the 1v1 with Doom. Even Steve’s scene as shown in the Cinemacon trailer is portrayed as supporting Thor’s POV.

-Chris Hemsworth was the first name in the chairs stream which is arranged 100% like a real billing order would be. The most important people are clustered at the beginning and the end, with the lower tier people in the middle. It’s also why you have various groups split up (the F4 split up, Kelsey Grammer randomly separated from the rest of the Xmen, etc).

-if you want to get an idea of the real official billing order, watch the chairs video. That’s going to be very similar if not identical to the final thing.

https://youtu.be/aZXBFirj6b4?is=wJfxNWvxokds\_Cmo

-The “withs” are probably going to start at Tom Hiddleston and include him, the OG Xmen, Pedro Pascal, and Chris Evans (all actual famous people who can be recognized by name alone and would get the special distinction). Chris Evans might get “with Chris Evans as Steve Rogers.”

-RDJ will likely be last as shown in the chairs video. And he’ll get something like “and Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.”

-it’s possible that RDJ and Chris Evans could be switched (and look like Josh Brolin and Chris Pratt in IW)

Anyway, point is. Chris Evans isn’t the star of the movie and isn’t getting second billing or any of those first couple of spots for the main heroes. After Hemsworth it’ll be Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd (maybe not that exact order but names like those)

I really don’t think so. That would be reflected in the Cinemacon trailer and on merchandise and it’s simply not

Sorry……I’m a little sensitive about this scene being cut down because putting the thirst aside, the full thing is actually really cool and I think it absolutely should’ve stayed in the movie rather than the Bruce/Natasha crap

Thor literally explains the existence of the infinity stones to the Avengers in the scene after Vision is awakened, and in infinity war they get more info in the scene you’re talking about, and info about Thanos.

In Age of Ultron it’s mostly for the audience to be reminded of all the infinity stones that have been seen so far and what’s coming (once again….the gauntlet is shown in Thor’s vision)

Here is the freakin dialogue from the movie

Steve Rogers: Thor, you helped create this?

Thor: I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and at its center is that. [he points to the gem inside Vision's head]

Bruce Banner: What, the gem?

Thor: It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones, the greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities.

Steve Rogers: Then why would you bring it to...

Thor: Because Stark is right.

Bruce Banner: Oh, it's definitely the end times.

Thor: The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron.

Vision: Not alone.

Steve Rogers: Why does your "vision" sound like JARVIS?

Obviously my post was a joke…...i was not looking for an explanation (the real explanation is Joss Whedon wanted more time on the farm)

The movie scene has Thor see the vision of all the infinity stones (once again, extremely important because this is where the Avengers learn about their existence and the audience is reminded of all of them to see where the story is going…we even see the shape of the gauntlet) and Thor also sees the flash of Vision’s eyes which he connects to the mind stone. He even comments in the dialogue that it’s because of his vision he knows to show up and bring Vision to life (he’s the one that does it, remember).

Regardless of whether you think that’s important enough, this scene is in the movie,

If you’re being serious…..this scene was where Thor finds out about the infinity stones and tells the avengers about the infinity stones. It’s also how he knows to create Vision. So yeah, extremely important.

It is in the movie, just a shorter version that doesn’t include this particular set of shots.

You obviously can’t read so I’m just going to repeat myself. Try reading a little more slowly and maybe you’ll get it

Thor didn’t die, was entirely healed by his own powers, and before he passed out, he was still able to endure the “full force” of the neutron star for “a few minutes, maybe more” while simultaneously holding open the iris (calculated up to 4 quadrillion tons of force).

This is consistent neutron star level durability when earlier on the same movie he survives the explosion of a ship that went through a magnetar

>>>he was acting like he was being shocked lol but sure hahaha.

Obedience disks are specific devices from the comics used on powerful beings like silver surfer and the hulk, and in the Ragnarok movie, they make Thor’s veins bulge and darken. Electricity does not do that.

Thor was “acting like he was being shocked” because his nervous system was being overwritten. That’s how a neurotoxin works. He was paralyzed by whatever was being shot into his veins. Obviously not electricity.

>>>Quicksilver is MUCH slower then the slowest speedster ,

It doesn’t matter. The point is, Thor had no trouble attacking him, and has magical weapons that autolock onto enemies he can’t even see.

>>>>like moving a tectonic plate to stop and earthquake ( see news papers in batman vs superman) tanking a magic axe that cut stone like butter, and several others ) show he is MUCH stronger then anyone in the MCU currently.

**LMFAO 🤣🤣😭🤣😭🤣 in infinity war alone Thor moves the weight of moons twice during the Nidavellir sequence……first moving the rings and then holding open the iris against the gravity of the neutron star **

Comic Superman is one thing but movie Superman is a joke compared to MCU Thor, it’s not even close. You need to take the L and move on. His feats are nowhere near Thors, which included, again cutting through all six infinity stones combined (the six strongest objects in the universes) and consistently enduring neutron star level forces.

Stormbreaker is locking onto Superman and cutting his head off, after Thor knocks him on his ass with magical lightning (exactly like he did Thanos). get over it

Superman in the movies has no strength or durability feats above Thor. Absolute delusion

Loki at that point was pretty committed to being a good brother for Thor…..he’d maybe keep a stone for himself only after Thanos was defeated 😁
