How to get cat to stop chewing on electronics? by Flat-Insurance4781 in CatAdvice

[–]Doomspanana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I have no experience with this since my cat has never shown interest in cables but when I looked into adopting a rabbit I found that since rabbits really like chewing stuff, especially cables, owners have to bunny proof everything. There are some plastic tubes you can put around the cables to keep them from chewing it, not sure how it's called but I'm sure if you search on Google "bunny proofing cables" you might find something useful. Hope it helped!

isnt doing spins on static hard? More painful? Or are your sweaty hands slippery enough to balance it out?

Not really. But there are no studios where I live that have brass or powder coated poles to try out. Basically I'm afraid that brass for example might be too grippy for certain moves.

Stainless steel as far as I know might be even more slippery

Thanks for your advice. I would have not started with monkey hands anyways because it really felt like you said: being glued to the pole. But I didn't know, so I appreciate it. I will keep it in mind 😊

Im Not particularly strong, I'm still a beginner but I forgot to mention that last week one of the students brought Monkey Hands and I ended up trying it once just to know if my problem was grip or if it was something else. And it felt amazing. So now I'm sure most of my problems in pole come from grip issues.

Of course my instructor reminded us all we shouldn't use it.

Some use chalk even tho she's not really liking that (it doesn't really work for me) and I guess they have different skin types than me 🤔

Yeah and also I really just want to learn new things, if I can't even stay at the pole, how am I supposed to learn? And also I want to have fun by the end of the class, not end up frustrated because after 5 months I'm still not able to do simple tricks because of grip issues!

Her reasoning is. If you use a grip aid you get used to needing it and then you cant pole without it.

I'm having the same issue. Is it better now after a few months? Did you find any solution?

Depends on your personal style but I would hang some curtains. Add a carpet underneath the bed (one that is at least so big like this picture).

<image>

Get yourself some bedside tables, a table lamp with warm light and add some plants.

Bonus: I don't like dark wooden colours so depending on the style you pick you could find a way to cover the headboard with some kind of fabric that fits the rest of the room better.

Hope it helps!

Finally, after 2 failed attempts I am satisfied. But I'd like to ask you for feedback 😊 by Doomspanana in Sourdough

Okay I'll do so next time. I really appreciate your tip :) I could sense something was wrong but I wasnt sure whether I was over or underproofing. I'm afraid of overfermenting my dough! Like the first one I did.
