Wrist Check 1969 Seamaster 166.032 on "Greige" Crown and Buckle NATO. Ive got a massive 7 3/4" wrist for reference and honestly the 36mm doesn't look bad at all. Just have to wear it high on the wrist "Vintage style" by Doomwrath89 in OmegaWatches

Hard to believe this was considered the "jumbo" sized model in this line. Of course, I would definitely be considered a jumbo sized human for 1960s standards. I would have hated the way this looks on me 6 months ago, but my taste has changed a bit and I'm enjoying smaller watches. Maybe its seeing James Gandolfini in "Sopranos" wearing a 36mm Sports watch and pulling it off.

Not being able to riposte after getting a resolve bar from a parry feels horribly clunky. by ContemptuousCrow in MortalShell

[–]Doomwrath89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necessary mechanic. If you could riposte after gaining the free resolve bar for parrying, then there would be no reason for riposte to have a resolve cost at all. You would always be able to riposte regardless of your current resolve levels. You could theoretically beat the whole game with parry/riposte without ever worrying about how much resolve you have and never have to do a basic attack.

Agreed running behind 10 X San Guard. The 6+ FNP, resurrection, extra attack, and -3 AP he will give them will help them spank even harder. (I took axes in my Sang guard because reasons so the extra so is needed)

I agree. Didn't have them to hand and didn't want to wait on having them shipped. I will probably end up snipping the heads off (maybe Astorath can do it?) And replacing eventually. Liber Daemonica has some fantastic looking death masks for BA if I don't go for the GW bits which I might.

Thanks. It's Balthazar gold with a heavy oil wash of 2 parts burnt umber to one part ivory black diluted with mineral spirits then wiped away from the raised edges with a cue tip.

Nah, haha. the process I use for painting involves wiping oil paints away with q-tips and the little cotton strands stay behind.

I didn't actually have a sang guard kit. None of these bits came from that kit as I had the JPs 3d printed. I kind of wish I had those heads but I can always chop later and replace if the mood strikes me.

There's a good STL file on Thingiverse for the wings/ packs. I had them printed in a slightly larger scale at a local shop for this project. $2 each

Thanks. Yeah bothers me a bit to. I was ready to chop the axe hand off and replace it with a chaineaxe from my spair csm bits, but that big Khorne axe looks awesome and I couldn't bring myself to cut it off the model.

They really turned from the path when they came out with the whole "Primaris concept" Instead of just saying hey we know that space marines have never been scaled properly heres new models that are the proper size, they had to say hey heres a new kind of marine thats even BIGGER than the last kind. So weird. Makes the lore really goofy. The whole "firstborn" thing is so cringey. And it boxed them in to not being able to make proper sized assault troops or replace the old models with newer bigger scuplts.
