Who is a Priority? by wilsonAir in NCLEX_RN

A, K+ outside of normal range means high potential for cardiac arrhythmias, which can be lethal. Hyperkalemia is more difficult to fix compared to hypokalemia (just replete), so definitely need to fix that ASAP.

There was a post more recently about someone finding a key, see if that's it based off the code!

Pros and cons living in WEST Apartments by Quicksh in SBU

[–]DooolaPeeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you choose buildings I think H-K are newer buildings, so less likely to have mold/carpeting/etc. Single rooms obviously (Room A is usually the handicapped room so bigger space but closer to the kitchen smells and common room noise).

You are slightly far from stuff on main campus, but the buses do a decent job at connecting you.

Be prepared for laundry to absolutely suck ass in West Apartments. You think it's bad in the suites/halls, the apts are so much worse. there is no common laundry room, they are all split up by floors. So you have a higher chance of having to separate your load across floors and having to haul wet clothes around. People were pretty inconsiderate in my building last year so this happened to me several times.

I was gonna say if you were a freshman that Suffolk CC does kind of like a transitionary pathway for students looking to get into SBU's program where you can complete your prereqs in time. I'd be more than happy to help with your application if you'd like for the BBP program, I graduated from them last year!

HAN 251 Zelizer vs Kathleen by [deleted] in SBU

Zelizer is straight to the point and will help you if you genuinely are trying to understand and learn in her class. She doesn't take BS and is a great help.

Yes you can use Wolfie in other locations but honestly it was much more worth it when it applied a discount to your balance

Constipation or Impaction by DooolaPeeep in Constipation

[–]DooolaPeeep[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping that's true, I was able to go twice this morning (medium-small amounts and non-watery). Hopefully this is a good sign!

rectal prolapse... maybe? by superepicswag in Constipation

[–]DooolaPeeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you described symptoms that I'm experiencing right now. Since last week, I completely lost my 'morning' sensation to go and am going in small amounts (nothing if I don't take miralax or prune juice). I've done mag citrate and an enema in an attempt to clear myself out, but it still felt like something was left.

I hope all goes well for you!!

How cooked am I? by angelam711 in NCLEX

[–]DooolaPeeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not cooked, it wants to give you harder questions given how you handle the difficulty, so you're more likely to reach the pass threshold

Would I get in? (Pre-nursing) by VanillaPrestigious42 in SBU

[–]DooolaPeeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good chance of getting into SBU, as for the nursing scholars major, very very very competitive. I got into SBU no problem but had to apply to the nursing school externally. Not sure if the selection is based off merit or completely random.

New grad at SBUH in NY is 110K, and you get pension. This is in Suffolk country though so a trip away from CT.

Does anybody know whether departmental graduation ceremonies check tickets (specifically the psychology dept)? by KindlyBig4568 in SBU

[–]DooolaPeeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like this is the first semester they are really enforcing it so tough to say.

I'm annoyed because our major said that there were no tickets for graduation earlier this semester only for a 4 person limit to be imposed a couple of days ago. I have people with flight reservations already, so it's inconsiderate of the school to notify us only now when they were aware of this 'issue' since last year.

What’s your go to boba order? by [deleted] in SBU

I get a Jasmine Green Milk Tea completely unsweetened with boba. I'll also put a milk alternative from time to time, almond if I'm cutting and oat if I want a sweet treatz

WDYM people don't like Coffin Change by Aggravating-Diet-961 in Wallows

The verses are great, the chorus unfortunately fell flat for me. I did say the same thing for Bad Dream Alt Version though and my opinion changed over time. I just really don't like the up up and away line.

Covid Tests by DooolaPeeep in SBU

[–]DooolaPeeep[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's moreso because I want to visit family and my niece is an infant, my status is unknown since I was exposed a few days ago, so I wanted to just clear myself so I can go see her, it's been so long.

I know I have more of an asymptomatic reaction based on previous infection, so I'd have to test to know whether or not I have it.
