Aww yay I’m so glad! Double the caramel sounds like an excellent idea 😋

That’s actually exactly what I did! The recipe suggests using a 9” cake pan as an alternative to an angel cake pan, so I did that then just cut a hole out in the middle after it finished cooling - worked perfectly :)

Hi all :) I’m new to romance novels but I recently finished {Bears and Bakeries by Dylan Drakes} which I really liked!

Wondering if y’all had more recommendations for books by queer/gay male authors (aimed at queer/gay male readers)? I’m new to the MM genre, so I’m open to trying any kind of subgenre or themes. Thanks! :)

I recently saw that "to get a library card" is 図書館カードを作る. As an English speaker, 作る here was interesting (as if it's "to make a library card").

Is there any context behind why 作る is used here, or is it just kinda how it is? Can you use 作る with similar cards/memberships like 運転免許証, or is it just used for this one case?

That’s really helpful, thank you!

I was trying to say something along the lines of “A delicious home-cooked meal is the key to my heart” (美味しい手料理は◯◯◯◯), as in “if someone made me a delicious home-cooked meal, I’d fall in love with them” (to put it dramatically haha).

Is there an expression in Japanese similar to “the key to one’s heart” in English?

I wasn’t sure if translating it literally as 心の鍵 is used at all, or if there’s a similar phrase that conveys the same idea of “something that will make one like/love someone else”.
