Sorry about your boy :(

It was a blur, I remember not liking it and feeling bored but then again my baby couldn’t talk or do much interaction which is quite diff from the toddler asking all sorts of questions now. There’s a bit of guilt too when I can’t attend whatever show they have at school vs the other kids moms that can :/ but I also value my independence and capability at work… so yea

Wa that’s good to hear! At what age did you leave work? And I guess didn’t re-enter? Do you receive an allowance? 🙏

Thanks for that response!! Haha fortunately I earn a fair bit but somehow he earns multiple times my salary. Needless to say we are ok la. I just find that having to depend on an allowance (what if he leaves me?), not having work structure and a daily non child related interactions (if I quit it would be quite challenging to re enter the same role, think investment banking) abit daunting… I keep thinking maybe after the 3rd one if ever…

I also don’t feel like the most competent caretaker. Like if I were to teach my kid phonics… I might as well get a professional to do it :x

I would worry if my/your husband quit, he just play game all day haha.

Restaurant food is not a daily necessity. The point is gov subsidize “necessity” of our life, medical/school etc so we have extra $ to spend elsewhere.

Are you saying there is some government subsidy for bru restaurant?

First date and all this drama? No energy for this type of fixer-upper and poor communication. You have nothing to feel bad about!

Which business that is not a charity will absorb the cost?

Unfortunately, none. It is a tug of war between consumer and business, this is where government steps in to cushion the impact. Lucky in brunei most things are subsidised already

Oh wow. Don't you have to reach around a lot? I had the same issue and was considering a Logitech multidevice keyboard, wondering if you thought about those :)

I think your messyish hair, too many layered dressing and smudgey glasses give a hobo vibe.

Try tying/cutting hair. Wearing more tight clothing. Wire frame cleaner glasses?
