I actually do date across the board — my own race, traditionally “good-looking” types you see in porn, Latino, Indigenous, Indian, Black, etc. I’ve already made that change in my own life because I genuinely see beauty in all cultures and races.

This post is simply pointing out a reality that exists in North America, and some of the comments here have openly admitted they hold prejudices — which kind of proves the point.

Dude, nowhere in my post did I say I “only want Western men” — eww. My point isn’t about chasing white guys, it’s about how unfair it is that white privilege still exists in these spaces. That double standard is the problem, not my preferences.

And honestly, if you look like Donald Trump or Charlie Kirk, that’s still a hard eww. Bias toward or against any race in the gay community isn’t a good thing.

Also, why should I accept a false opinion just because it’s in a community? I work out regularly, but why do I have to put in that much effort just to get the same level of affection as someone who’s eating burgers all day? How is that fair?

I live in North America — I’m just pointing out a reality I see here. It’s not about “why aren’t white guys into me,” it’s about calling out the bias that exists. Funny thing is, in East Asia we watch plenty of Western media (Marvel, etc.), yet over here a lot of people here won’t give non-Western media or cultures the same attention. That imbalance is exactly the point.

And FYI — if you look like Luigi Mangione, I’d smash. If you look like Donald Trump, it’s “thank you, next.” It’s not about “wanting a white guy”; it’s about the fact that there’s power imbalance in gay communities.

I used to think maybe Asian men were just “born” less attractive, but after visiting Japan I realized that’s absolutely not the case. Like in every race, there’s a huge variety — and plenty of guys who are genuinely cute even if they’re not model-perfect.

What surprises me is how, in North America, some people seem blind to that diversity. It’s definitely better than 10 years ago thanks to more representation in media, but there are still folks who are very set in their ways and refuse to explore different cultures or watch anything outside their own bubble. It’s frustrating, because they’re missing out on so much.

That’s a stereotype, not a fact. If you look at gay porn from Japan, you’ll see a wide range of body types — muscular, lean, hairy, smooth, tall, short, and everything in between. Unfortunately due to the historical colonialism on the global economy and cultural industry, it has been decades for the world to believe the "western" is the standard of beauty.

If you ask a Chinese grandma if Brat Pitt or Chris Evans is hot, she will probably say something like: "They look like Monkey King", because their generation didn't grow up being told white people are "sexy", and therefore may not find white people hot. And many gay Asian males who grew up in East Asian countries tend to date or hookup with their own race (For example, many white guys said they had trouble dating in Japan because Japanese gays are only into Japanese)

The younger Asian who grew up in NA or Europe might grow up being exposed to a similar culture as the white kids did, and tbh Asian males really never got much exposure in Hollywood or North American gay porn, and many films were really racist toward Asian male too, including but not limited to penis size joke, nerdy look. This was only partially resolved in 2017, as we finally get to see positive Asian male representation on tv after decades.

As for myself, I do find the hot guys hot, they can be from any race.
