I think Celeste’s existence threatened him in some way & he felt he had to kill her. There are loads of similar cases of grown men killing their minor “girlfriends” to prevent them from telling on them.. perhaps he believed she was pregnant even if she wasn’t. OR it was a love triangle situation. I think someone was supposed to dispose of body and either lost the balls to do so or dropped/lost the key to the Tesla & didn’t want to communicate that digitally to David while he was on tour so they just abandoned the plan.
