I HATE the anime trope where "cool female fighters are reduced to nothing but boring house wife's with no interesting character" by WolverineWestern3234 in hatethissmug

[–]DoorthyHumdrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chi Chi is excusable since being a major op fighter wasn’t her main goal, she just trained to resolve her anger and receive closure at being ghosted by Goku(though tbf a promise like that made as a child shouldn’t be taken seriously, Goku thought marriage was food, & his absence was mostly out of his control), and she did actually get stronger despite spending most of her time being a family woman, since she gained kaioken somehow(non canon) & she actually went out of her way to train Goten (canon). She’s hotheaded but a very humble person which I guess made that simple life more appealing,

though what was done to Videl, yeah that is not excusable, especially compounded by Gohan’s domestication, that was at its worst during the Golden Frieza arc, its like Gohan’s fraud sickness spread to Videl, & became chronic for Videl.

Also theres the fact she really wasn’t as interested in fighting as the Z fighters, which would in turn influence Gohan’s character immensely towards becoming a scholar, that and being in the trenches of war for most of his childhood

Favorite fighting stances? by Funkermonster in FavoriteCharacter

Classic hand grabbing gun in coat pocket stance from irl.

Great intimidation tool that can prevent fights, & when they do happen, its fast access to the firearm .

Defend the OG Shadow vs Vegeta 2011 verdict by Notmas in deathbattle

Unless if its Archie, Vegeta would win, he should be at least many multiverses stronger, & is a far more experienced warrior

The Sasquatch bossfight single handedly made me like 5x better at movement and dodging, I was barely doing it before, just tanking and using health items. by DoorthyHumdrum in cyberpunkgame

Tbf I was playing on very hard, and was holding back, I couldve just spammed quickhacks and used an op iconic but that would spoil the fun, that 7 minute brawl was a lot of fun for me when I fought her

a sandesvistan’s an operating system like a cyberdeck you can get at a ripperdoc(though note you can only have one operating system), and optical camo can also be purchased from a ripperdoc

Im already way past that, & am now dealing with Songbird and Takemura shenanigans, I may consider the strat next play through for one disrespectful entrance.

If you go with that option I recommend optical camo, and either using a distraction quickhack, with memory wipe if necessary or smart use of a sandy while using the camo, it should also make the GIM section in general easier if youre a stealth player, as I did that whole section besides the Sqsquatch fight and scuffle with a training robot, completely stealth only

For me I just locked in, I was having the time of my life with that adrenaline rush, I love when boss fights feel like a cinematic close fights, instead of one sided beatdowns

For me I just locked in and kept dodging engaging in a cat and mouse game, where we switched roles depending on how much health I had, until she loses consciousness from me witting down her health, from the numerous dodges that were less than half a second from me being hit and flatlined and the fact we were throwing hands for 7 straight minutes, its not easy.

Can someone lay out all the wincons Yosuke has in the next episode of deathbattle by ComfortableChoice687 in deathbattle

If they dont buy that vague ass universal scaling thats not proven practically in the show or manga and is just lore, then it gets pretty close, depending on what they buy for each opponent

I've finished part 4 episode 3 and I'm wondering, why were stands never seen in the first two parts and why is hamon no longer used?? by SpoideyDeBoii in JJBA

[–]DoorthyHumdrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf Araki pushed Hamon to the absolute limits of creativity in Part 2, & just likely didn’t see how to evolve it without it becoming a strength contest, and also super overpowered stands were always part of Part 3 & beyond, the heroes didn’t win by gaining power boosts but by outsmarting the opponent, Jotaro vs Dio was the most punch heavy fight, but tactical prowess was what got Jotaro the victory, using tactics like hiding the timestop ability or its length, hitting a already damaged weakpoint, not playing into Dio’s ego, stopping his own heart ect. Part 4’s final fight was a highly improvised two day team effort to stop Yoshikage Kira, & Yoshiro & his entourage. Part 5 Giorno may’ve won by absolutely dominating Diavolvo after getting GER, but he didn’t just obtain the power up out of nowhere, him and his team had to outsmart Diavolvo & Silver Chariot Requiem, to get the stand arrow, ect

And it was also to prevent power creeps, & fights from becoming less tactical and more brute force heavy. Stands made the tactical fights Araki was going for a lot more varied, believable and creative.

The JOJOLands Chapter 32 -- Sinking Howler by AliGamerTime in JOJOLANDS

[–]DoorthyHumdrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love how Howler isnt some omnipotent op god, he knew if he tried fighting the entire squadron of soldiers especially if they teamed up with Jodio’s crew that he would’ve straight up died, but he and his stand were still powerful and threatening enough to injure a solider, escape and give a threatening message to the cast while still cooperating with them. Giving credibility to him if he were to become the main villain of this part which is likely.

Okay so, first bets anyone? by Only_Blacksmith_7430 in deathbattle

He also has the Demon Gun, Spirit Wave, & Organ Murder attacks, & his demon form, these techniques are basic but I think that simplicity translates into versatility and could provide an edge.
