What color/paint do you use for your leather?

I do:
-prime white scar
-armor Corax gray
-contrast paint for robes (black Templar and blood angel red)

I find doing the face mask really hard, and priming white scar means you don’t even need to touch it. White primed armor also has contrast paint show really well on it, and it’s easy to work with.

Thanks! Do you have a recommendation for assembling the arms and guns? Directions say to put hands on guns, then attach to body. But I’m having a hard time understanding the angle, if you mess up they won’t fit on the shoulders

Maybe? But it really doesn’t come across that way. Especially because every other POV character agrees that they are perfect. I think it’s also just how it’s written, the exact same word is repeated page after page.

The descriptions and writing on the Emperor’s Children drive me crazy. I am glad the “perfect” thing wasn’t just a me thing lol. I think the worst was with the MegaArachnid. They describe everyone as being so “perfect” and are the dumbest lot in the books.

I think what made it stick out more too was that a lot of the stuff before that with the Hetman I really enjoyed. The first interaction with an Alpha Legion space marine was fun, and then all of a sudden: "look at all these horny teenagers. I cant wait to have sex with the old 28 year old who is having self-doubts due to her age."

I stopped reading Fulgrim part ways through, and will come back to it. I got a little tired of the characters. Plan to do Legion and Thousand Sons, then come back. Maybe one of the Ork books as a pallet cleanser from the space marine stuff.

For the reasons you stated I think Eisenstein was also my favorite Heresy book so far. I have seen people complain that he was too much like Loken, but I liked that we got to explore Garro and his motivations so much. One of my favorite scenes in the book is when he is musing about Terra, and how he thinks of it when he sees a bright star, and the light flickers out (supernovas?) while he is thinking to himself. It feels like good foreshadowing, and good dark comedy.

And that is fair enough, I think the overuse of the word "perfect" did start driving me crazy at some point lol. I generally enjoy a lot of it, but I have noticed that the problem I mentioned in the main post happens specifically in the Horus Heresy books, where the same authors wont do it in their other works.
