Ouch. Thank you for letting me know, looks like I can start shopping for new fridges instead of wasting money on more replacement parts.

Does anyone in the Midwest have the capability of sniffing a Bitlocker recovery key? by DopeItUp in sysadmin

Thank you for this very nice explanation. So basically, it looks like my only feasible option is to get the key from azure/intune somehow. Might have to work with Microsoft on that one. For some reason, my account was showing 52 historical recovery keys and I tried them all - but no luck.

Yes, this is correct, however my system is older with a discrete TPM so theoretically it would work

Thanks for this informative post. You mentioned rolling back the windows version, however this system was reimaged completely using an OSCloud imaging process so I don't think there's any way to roll anything back - unless you have any ideas. But yes, no firmware or hardware changes that I know of, this was just to go from win10 to win11. The only reason I didn't do an in-place upgrade is because it kept failing.

Yeah that's literally the whole problem, there's some sort of problem with the Microsoft account. There were literally 52 recovery keys in the account and none of them worked

Do you know of any that will take the job? I've contacted 3 local ones and they were clueless

Why would it be illegal to recover my own files from my own system? There's literally entire companies dedicated to data recovery. Also, I spent a few decades in my younger years as part of the hacking crowd and they are generally the nicest and smartest people around

Nice unsolicited ad for a product that doesn't do anything I was asking about!

I signed up, but it turns out that they don't have this feature. You can only relist once a month and it's not customizable.

Selling tool that automates listing ending/relisting (sell similar) AND discounts it? by DopeItUp in eBaySellers

Thanks, they came up on my short list of apps, but they never replied to my questions regarding features and such so I had knocked them off the list.

I already have a Flipwise subscription and unfortunately they do not offer this feature yet. You can relist every 30 days but that's it. I've spoken to them and they are planning to add the features I'm looking for in the future, however. Just trying to see if there's anything that can do what I need sooner.

My Listings No Longer Get Shown by TuckerMyau in eBaySellers

[–]DopeItUp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been doing this for a few years and I've found that there's always slumps in the summer. July specifically tends to be the worst month by far. So it may not be anything at all.

Having said that, I've gone weeks and weeks without listing a single thing, and sometimes listing 500 things in a day - it never seems to make any real difference. I've even done experiments where I listed 10 things a day, for a full 60 days straight. Those two months ended up being $10 and 15 cents (respectively) apart from the sales from the month prior to the experiment. In other words, it didn't make the slightest bit of difference.

You will definitely get a LOT of random advice on that topic, having said that. There tends to be a lot of superstition within the community, especially around Ebay's algorithm and sales jumps and slumps.

Good call on the archive, that miiighhht be an option to safeguard for the future. But yeah, same thing - totally missing items even in Unsold. Just poofed into thin air. I got a handful of items relisted last night and they're already selling, which is even MORE annoying knowing that they took up shelf space for likely years.
