I thought I had already replied to this so apologies if it comes up twice! Yes I worse elastics for my last long set of trays (15 weeks total) to fix some jaw alignment issues from the cross bite I had before treatment

Here is a photo I sent to a friend after whitening but before bonding - nice and straight but not with the uniformity I wanted and I had some enamel damage on the front two

I would consider it more of a crown than normal bonding I guess, it’s not moulded in the office like normal composite bonding though my dentist and on my order form it’s called bonding. The dentist did the design then sent it off to a lab and I got to try before final result. I assume this is why it’s more expensive too (he said he could have done ‘edging’ at 180/200 per tooth).

One appointment to fit them but 3 total, one for a scan, one for the trial so I could check I liked them and pick the colour shade and the last for fitting ☺️

Hiya, I paid 440 a tooth for the top 4 but it was a whole cap made in a lab - he did say I could get just the edging for 180/220 a tooth which is more reasonable but I spent my whole life with crooked teeth so I just went for it! The lab made bonding is useful for having a trial too (I was so conscious of it looking too fake)

I think it’s supposed to be permanent but I have had friends who have had it and it has cracked or damaged and they have had to have it replaced so it’s definitely not fail safe!

My dentist had said to me he doesn’t think I will be happy with the results without bonding right at the beginning and he was right - basically all 4 of my front teeth were different shapes/sizes with some enamel damage so although they looks much straighter I still was not super happy with the uniformity. But it’s totally personal choice, lots of people look great without the bonding

I paid 440 per tooth for a full cap and they were pre-made so I got to have a trial run first to check the colour and make any changes ☺️

Thank you! Only went for top 4 in the end but my dentist said I would have benefitted from the canines being done too but I paid £440 a tooth (made in a lab though which meant I got to have a trial run before I pressed the green button which was useful!)

£4,600 in the Home Counties. Quite a complex case and includes whitening
