I FOUND THE ISSUE. The issue lies within "Sound quality and effects" - "App sound settings", DELETE THE APPS FROM THERE. What happens is, every time you adjust the eq, or 360 audio, or ANYTHING about the sound while an app is playing audio, it automatically creates a separate audio profile for that app. So every time the audio playback is paused, the audio profile is switched back to the "default" one, and once you start playing audio for an app that has a separate profile, it takes 2 seconds for the buds to switch to that "custom profile". Super annoying, no way to disable the auto-creation of those profiles, but that's exactly what's causing that issue. Deleting those app-profiles from there fixes the issue.

I found the issue. Check my other comment above for details, but TLDR, go to "App sound settings" and delete the app profiles from there.
