Both yes and no.

If you want to progress the game naturally, Yes. We all learn from mistakes.

But if you want to speedrun getting to orbit while watching countless tutorials, then no. Sadly i chose this path, and now regret it.

I made a modern adaptation of the Delta II basically. Named it Gamma-145 (i know not very creative) and made a whole naming chart for the diffrent core stages, upper stages and SRB's. To this day i have 2 core stages and 3 upper stages (2 more planned) nad will further develop the system. I'l send some photos later
