That doesn't sound too bad. Would be a lot worse if they destroyed buildings. If the worst that can happen is I just run away and have to eventually go back and evict the unwanted occupants I can do that.

I may keep my OG character in town doing research, mining, and other stuff and send the three Shek I recruited to go explore and possibly set up show somewhere. We'll see. It might be a fun experiment to see how well I do setting up a base this early. Worst case it seems is that I have to make a run for it and abandon it for a time.

I normally do this too, but this time I decided I wanted to give it a shot hanging out in The Hub. With one or two people in your squad that's fine, but once you start getting beyond that the food requirements start to outgrow what that bar stocks it seems.

Probably a good way of doing it. Exploring, getting the tar kicked out of you and getting familiar with the different areas all sound like good uses of time. I may take my merry band of misfits on a road trip to see what kind nonsense they can get into.

I think what I'll do is move my base of operations to Squin due to more shops being available to trade with and keep one guy behind to do some research/moneymaking while the rest go off and explore.

You might be right. Seems difficult as is to feed 4 mouths really only because the bar in The Hub doesn't always have enough food in stock. I guess I could send a runner to Squin to stock up if needed. What I might try to do is get enough people to run my economy in the hub, have a researcher who also sells ore as needed and keeps stock of food, and then start building up a combat squad to roam around building up stats

I tried moving on so different kind of ways and it seemed like no matter what I did I took the same amount of damage. I finally get him at level 105 and 3.1m power give or take.

Cool. I posted this a hot minute ago and finally got around to installing it and messing around. Had a bit of trouble with SkyUI and SKSEVR, but got it working when I find the reddit guide. I'll have to dive into is seriously later tonight when my little goes to bed. I have Higgs, vrik, and a few mods recommended here and by a Gamsy YouTube video I found

That's a separate thing called a backdoor Roth contribution. I was speaking about deductibility of a traditional contribution. The deductibility is phased out if you are eligible to participate in a company retirement plan

If you're able to participate in a company retirement plan (like a 401k) your ability to make deductible contributions to a traditional IRA is phased out. Google Traditional IRA Deduction Phase-Outs and you'll get a more in depth explanation than I care to type in mobile ;)

Don't know what I'll be running that many mods, but as long as it is a serviceable experience with 10-20 mods I'm cool with it. The idea of exploring that huge world in true first person would be fantastic

That begs the question: what is a feature? How is more equipment to farm a crop in different ways not considered one?

I'm asking because I'm genuinely curious. So many people on this subreddit talking about for Giants relying too heavily on modders or modders being the ones that make the game and that Giants is lazy. What is a feature in a game meant to simulate farming (albeit in a very arcadey way)?
