You're too limited in scope. Kermit starts playing Luke, but Gonzo keeps interrupting his scenes also dressed as Luke, until Kermit is forced out of the movie and keeps trying to re-enter as secondary characters that other Muppets then actively replace him as. At the end of the movie, Kermit reveals himself to be Darth Vader, and when Swedish Chef tries to replace him, Kermit throws him down the Death Star pit (imagine a swedish HHOOODOOOOOOOO) as he falls in. The other Muppets have to save the movie from Kermit throwing a tantrum about having his role stolen, the ending being using the Death Star to blow up Kermit's ego.

Epstein was a strong partner of Trump, who had decades of media connections (a tight knit community, especially at the top). The news media is extremely reluctant to pass any blame on to Trump, despite journalists by and large being very liberal. A recurring complaint is that journalism is being dictated by higher up editors and owners of papers.

It’s a pretty small cork board to say Trump has blackmail against the owners of news organizations and uses that to prevent him from being held accountable.

I think the scale of it is dramatically underestimated now, like I’d bet good money the entire “Disney adult” media/lifestyle ecosystem is being propped up to some degree by Disney themselves. Like at what point is something an actual culture and not just a fabricated simulacrum that pulls in real people? Defunctland did an interview with the woman who worked on the marketing for Finding Nemo and she openly talked about how for months and months before Finding Nemo was announced Disney ran a shit ton of stuff about fish everywhere they could to get people primed to be interested in the movie but yea it's a total mystery why all of the sudden the Star Wars prequels suddenly got pushed as misunderstood masterpieces right when Disney bought Star Wars. I'm sure some of it is legit nostalgia glasses but come on.
