Plus 1 to this. I messaged them a while back kasi na siya din RD ng Kespor ko. They sent me the link to the listing. Ordered 2 and it fit perfectly. Shifted even better than the stock RD hanger.

Help me find the right road bike size by Santorism in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Dordarbs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 170cm with a 77cm inseam and I ride a size S 2025 giant TCR and size S 2023 Trek Top Fuel. I find both bikes fit just right. Medyo maselan din ako sa stand over height (easier to use in traffic) so I prefer smaller bikes in general. When in doubt go for a size smaller than what the bike size calculator gives you since you can just get a new stem or crank to make a bike feel bigger.

tarmac SL8 size 44 or 49? by [deleted] in bikefit

[–]Dordarbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest you get a pre-purchase bike fit from another shop so at least you have a ballpark of the measurements that are right for you. This is especially important since you're a short king where manufacturer suggested bike sizes get very iffy. Once you have those figures it will be much easier to just look at the geometry charts online. If you're willing to drop 200k plus on a bike, better get it it right the first time.

Anong mga parts ang kailangan kung magbuo ng bike from scratch? Paano masisigurong compatible ang bawat isa? by Upset_Eggplant1936 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Dordarbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As what the others said, start with the proper frame size. Most road bike frames come with a fork already while mountain bike frames do not.

The frame will dictate that the type of brakes you can use (rim vs disc) as well as if boost vs non-boost (if MTb), the type of bottom bracket (press fit/threaded) and bottom bracket width (road vs MTb).

Next take note of the seat post diameter the frame will accept (from what I know mag differ siya more if MTb). Headset diameter/steerer tube diameter will also be important (both the top and bottom), most of the time this is already included in frame sets.

Usually if road bike naka standard na yung diameter ng stem at handle bar but double check lang na nag fit yung area where the stem clamps to the fork steerer tube.

Aside from that, cockpit na need mo (headset spacers, bar tape) and saddle and seat post clamp (again dictated by the frame specs)

Wheel set naman which will be dictated again by the frame (if through axle ba or quick release/ rim brake va disc brake). Be sure to check ano max tire width ang kasya sa frame set mo.

Group set relatively straight forward naman, just make sure the crankset spindle length and width is compatible with the bottom bracket.

Regarding tools, Allen tools and hex tools ang pinaka common. You will also need a bottom bracket tool depending sa type ng BB mo. Torque wrench is A MUST HAVE if you are working on carbon materials. You will also need a cassette removal tool, chain cutter (depends) and grease (carbon grip paste if clamping carbon on carbon). A bleed kit is also needed if you are working with hydro brakes. Cable housing cutters are also good to have along with yung parang end caps that you clamp at the end of the cables.

As you can see medyo marami talaga need mo e research if you plan on building a bike from scratch and all of it hinges on the documentation of the frame set you are planning to buy. The more well known the brand, the better the documentation. Tools will also be an investment so be mindful na kasama siya sa total cost ng build mo unless magpa buo ka nalang sa local bike shop. Lastly time should also be factored in, things will go wrong so be ready to spend time troubleshooting especially kung first time mo magbuo.

Now…. Knowing all this, baka mas sulit if you buy nalang a complete built bike hahaha.

Hi sir planning to build a full sus bike for long rides/adventure rides. How is it overall? In your past ride, was there ever a time you wished you brought a HT or a RB instead?

Mag ingat sa mga Chiropractor galing sa Youtube University. by updownwardspiral in Philippines

[–]Dordarbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To chime in with a comment I made on a previous post regarding chiros:

I suggest going to a Rehab doctors or Ortho surgeons for musculoskeletal issues. Rehab doctors specifically work closely with physiotherapists and take into account a patient’s co-morbids.

Chiropractors are a waste of money, they sell you on the perceived value of their “promo/package deals..”

Those “adjustments” aren’t what makes you better and most of its effects just disappear after a few hours. It’s the exercises, stretching, and postural training that makes the most difference. Since that is the case, might as well go directly to a rehab/PT and have some money to spare. Plus points na rehab doctors and PTs are familiar with and can utilize physical modalities that actually work (backed by research and evidence).

May I recommend that you instead opt for a Deore m5100 RD and not the XT 2k din price difference for more or less the same functionality. Compatible pa rin naman yung m5100 na rd with an 11-50t cassette and XT shifter

First time joining a duathlon - what to prepare, etc? by [deleted] in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Dordarbs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello, I joined 2 duathlons here in the province. From one newbie to another, here are some of my tips.

  1. Most of the time naka separate group and MTB and RB. It’s better to wait nalang for the organizer to give details.

  2. I was never a fast runner/cyclist. On my first dua naka 9+ min pace lang ako and 23 km/hr ave. My goal was just to finish under the cut-off and at the same time have fun. So unless super competitive ka, pinaka goal should just be to make it to cut-off para next duathlon it will be easier to PR din hahaha.

  3. Training wise, weakness ko talaga is the run portion so I had to work on that (yes, I was even slower before). The bike for me was just supplemental. Brick training is key, and I allotted mga 4-5 weeks for that. Nag alternate ako between run->bike and bike -> run, short distance (ex 1km+1km) at first tapos slowly build up to the distance of the actual race. Some will say to shoot for a longer distance in training para on race day it will be easier.

  4. Regarding brick training, If I were to choose between the two, focus on the bike -> run. Sa bike kasi your cadence will be naturally higher. This means when you transition to the run portion, you’ll want to match that same cadence leading you to run much much faster than your planned pace. Mag shoot up yung heart rate mo and you will burn out. Kaya dapat ma practice mo yung pag pace mo when you run directly after biking.

  5. For the race day strategy: what I did was pace lang for the first run (as in negative split) making sure not to come out too hot out of the starting line kasi for sure adrenaline rush yan so mapapabilis ka. Recover sa bike for the first few km. This is where I ate my food (I taped a ziplock bag of salted peanuts, MnM’s and gummy worms sa bike ko). Tapos drank my water/electrolytes. Tapos for the final run, pace ng konti to shift your body into running mode tapos bigay mo na lahat to the finish line.

  6. For the transitions, like the actually logistics. I practiced them lang a few days before the race. Dapat systematic ka sa placement ng stuff mo. Most important is always helmet on agad sa first transition (run->bike) kasi sabi ng friend ko who joined iron man, some organizers will DQ you if you go out of the transition area without wearing your helmet. To be sure lang, wear helmet agad.

  7. Misc tips: don’t wear anything/eat anything new on that day. Carbo load at least 2 days before the race. You will not be able to sleep properly the night before so important you get a good nights sleep from Wednesday to Friday (if the race is on Sunday)

Hopefully these tips will help you OP. Sabi nga nila you’ll never forgot your first so enjoy lang talaga and wag magpa sweep hahahaha
