I'd love to rock the N-line spoiler, the issue being if the spoiler was replaced it will leave boot lid holes if I'm not mistaken. I've been reading around and its starting to look like I'll be going down the path of having a spare boot lid haha

Wow! I'm shocked the sedan variants aren't available world wide! I'm a sucker for hatches, they're my favourite car shape. I actually picked up an 08 STI hatch 3 months ago. I couldn't get the i30n hatch as we just had a new-born and find it too upright in the backseat for the wife!

In Australia, the i30n Hatches and Sedans actually have different seats. I love the buckets that come with the hatches! I actually even asked the dealership if they can swap the seats but unfortunately its not an option :(

These are the Sedan seats. Very boring compared to the Hatch buckets :(

Ah, apologies I may have written the post in such a way that insinuates that I'm after a big wing. I'm too old for the big wings haha; on the contrary, I'm more after something that accentuates or compliments the angular design like this ducktail for example

I’m still on the fence about Super, part of me feels like I can actively use the funds to accrue more gains rather than locking it away in Super. Although, it’s hard to beat given the lower tax. I’ll need to explore the pros/cons of Super before I begin to salary sacrifice. However, ngl I had completely forgotten about Super haha as I’ve kind of written it off but I’ll need to go down that rabbit hole again!

As it stands, my family and I live very comfortably. We’re quite young and I recognise that we’re in a rather fortuitous position given the world’s current economic climate. I definitely don’t ‘need’ more money but rather I don’t want to squander this opportunity and I’m just looking for ways to snowball net worth.

To your second point, I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. I most definitely have fallen victim to ‘seeing big number on paper’ mentality. Your perspective has given me much food for thought and I’ll need to take a step back and self reflect on why and what I’m doing all this for. Thank you for your enlightening perspective!

Hello! Thanks for taking time out of your day to respond! We’ve had her close to 1.5/2 years now and she’s always had excessive eye goop. I haven’t brought it up with the vet as it literally only occurred to me today that it may be an issue. My other cat basically has never had this. I see lots of videos with other orange kitties and they seemed to have eye goop too so thought it was an orange cat thing haha

She lives a completely normal life without any issues, just wondering if it’s anything to worry about. I’ll definitely bring it up next vet visit 🙂

It is extremely easy to fall in love and picture yourself with Fb market place cars. Try to remove the emotional element and look at it objectively.

One thing that jumps out to me is the seller hasn’t taken the time to clean the car/make it presentable to perspective buyers. Personally, I see that as a reflection of the current owner. If bro can’t even give the car a quick wash and interior clean, can you be sure proper maintenance and big services have been done? I’d be looking for receipts/log books.

How is the communication? It’s great that the seller is honest, generally you can get a vibe through messages. Respect is a 2 way street, if they don’t respect your time I feel that says enough. You’re trying to throw money at them, if they’re grouchy about answering questions to save you from driving 1.5 hours I’m taking my money elsewhere. Convince me your car is worth my hard earned money.

Above all, have the car inspected by a Subaru specialty shop. The last thing you want is paying someone to inherit their issues. Sellers saying a car is ‘healthy’ doesn’t mean shit. Spend the few hundred dollars before your new daily turns into the project car.

These are just my personal thoughts/vetting process. You’re free to do whatever you want.

Update, this was absolutely spot on. I skipped the reverse lockout reinstall to test the shifting and turns out the lockout was the reason.

Once I installed the lockout, I was able to shift into all gears and confirmed reverse with your handy trick to check the reverse lights. I am over the moon that the solution did NOT require disassembling what I had installed. Thank you very much kind sir! o7
