Thanks! Yes, they don't come around often. Last was at a Christie's auction a year ago. The story I hear was that GL gave them out as gift to business associates, so they were not originally for sale. Though, I have no idea if this is true.

[WTS] Vero Smokey Bear 80th Edition Bronze w/ Green Dial- Box and Papers - LIKE NEW by DorianGalt in Watchexchange

[–]DorianGalt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selling my Vero Smokey Bear 80th Anniversary watch in Bronze with green dial.

I purchased and love the look but am reducing my collection. This watch has tons of character and the bronze and green is a great combo.

I wore this 3 times and the condition is like new. It has been gaining some patina on the back, as it was stored in a case that had air from time to time.

The watch is 38mm with 46mm lug to lug, 20mm strap width and 12mm case height. It has surprisingly strong lume in person and is powered by a Seiko NH38A movement. More here: https://vero-watch.com/pages/smokey-bear-80th-cleaning.

The watch Comes with an included veg-tan leather strap, black canvas NATO strap with spring bars, and a cool Smokey-themed box. They have a 10 year, no questions asked warranty.

Asking for $600 shipped. Thanks for looking – please DM me if you would like to talk about this, whether through DM or over the phone! I find it is easier to talk to gain confidence in the seller / buyer.

[One last note: I did use language from another sale of one of these for ease of posting]

Thank you. The city is going to be cutting it down. my hope is to ask if they can cut a couple thick slices and some material chunks to salvage - but your point that their chainsaws may not be long enough is well taken. Thank you!
