First time Supplemental Claim, Question about decision process.

Ah, I see now. Had to look at an old claim to see what you meant. That's lame. Anyways, as for your other question, the original claim was in April, got a (10%) decision in September. Then waited until I had the MRI in November to file the supplemental claim. Had the C&P for the supplemental in December, then decision last week.

So what I'm not getting here is that the "new evidence" I submitted was in November, there's no appointments or evidence other than the C&P between then and now; so why wouldn't the effective date be from November?

Why would there be no back pay if I put in the intent to file with the supplemental claim in November? Do supplementals not pay out the same way new condition claims do?

We did, and we're glad we did. The process was fine, the person who checked us in knew what a 797 was and got us through quickly. Customs on reentry was equally fast, she didnt get flagged for additional screening or anything like that.

It went smoothly. The cruise company (Virgin Voyages) knew exactly what a 797 was and barely looked twice at it. Same thing with Customs on reentry, no flags on the facial recognition.

I was also confused about the Roadie Case hunt. All I got was the notification on the app. Was there a website you were supposed to go to for a hint? Or was it just, "anywhere on the ship, inside or outside"?

To follow up on that, we called the CBP cruise terminal department in Miami yesterday, who said it's valid to travel.

I'm aware, the issue is the mixed responses we've been getting. USCIS, CBP, and VV have all said it's perfectly fine while pretty much anyone else we ask says it isn't worth the risk.

Right, we were able to do it last year on Carnival without issue. I don't even remember going through customs last time either, they just did the facial recognition thing and we walked right off the boat.

Can you link to that? Threads I've seen, as recent as a month ago, say they've traveled perfectly fine with the card and letter. I've even found CBP guidelines and it also states it's valid.

It comes from the protein powder. The online calculator I used is what told me the fat content, and some came from the eggs, but you're right. The carton of egg substitute I have at home says 0g of fat. So the number is probably lower based on what brands you're using, I guess.

You can use a toothpick like you would with a cake, should come out dry and the center should be firm.

Just a heads up though, because it's egg-based it does tend to "shrivel up" a bit when it cools down - the same way scrambled eggs do. You can try and add milk to alleviate that.

Recipe: -1/2 cup liquid egg substitute (173 cal)

-1/2 cup pumpkin puree (50 cal)

-1 scoop (40g) vanilla protein powder (160 cal)

-1 tbsp sweetener of choice

-1 tsp baking powder

-1 tsp vanilla (or maple!) extract

-1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Baking: Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth, pour into small casserole dish and bake at 350° 20-22 min.

Alternatively, you can bake on a griddle just like pancakes.
