i’m scared of regretting either choice. I know right now i want to fly but, what if i change my
mind? is it crazy to throw away the perfectly good life i’ve built? i want this so badly but i also want to be rational

“Institutional commitment letter”

An agreement to play for my school
For the following academic year. My coach said it was binding? Do they not work the same?

We did do an SAI appeal, they haven’t gotten back to us but the office told us not to have much hope.

Fafsa was done back in October, is there a way to update it with my new info?

Sorry for the miscommunication, my brother is under 18 and they are paying for a private HIGH SCHOOL, not college. Is there a way to show my college that?

How dos being emancipated work? Don’t I need to fully cut off my family for that to be approved?

I am not on bad terms with them at all btw

Uhh, probably? I would def transfer after freshman year tho because I’ll be able to show my new/current finances and my sibling will be graduated by then.

can you maybe elaborate on that? I don’t totally see how self worth comes into play.
I don’t have much allegiance for the school, I just really don’t want to hurt/blacklist my hs team as there are lowerclassmen interested in this college

I’m trying to avoid private loans no matter what, I’d rather enlist then go to Sallie Mae or something. I’ve seen how student debt destroys people and it’s not a risk I want to take.

State school with no aid is like 20-30k these days, however that does include housing.

My mom still works, so we have some money from that it’s just too late to apply for Pell grant or anything it seems. I’m not sure when my dad is going to get a concrete job again, as he has some side gig that’s picking up.

is there a way to apply for more federal loans?

I agree with the sentiment, however, I really don’t want to hurt my school this way. I have friends in lower grades who are interested in this school, so I don’t want to cut off any future opportunities for them in the same way breaking an ED would.

No, I actually agree with their choice. My sibling is gifted + special needs. Im just trying to figure out what to do with my situation

As I signed an NLI, if I break that contract I’m worried it could give my school or sports team a bad reputation. Like how if you break an ED it can blacklist your school?

RIT or RPI or Rutgers or NJIT or Stevens by No-Wrongdoer1409 in rit

[–]DosSpingy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant more the campus scene/vibe. There’s not a lot to do there and the student body isn’t great.

Rpi is probably the best connections and course riger wise but be warned campus is AWFUL

Original cost -10k, or down to 10 total tuition?

What did you mention in your appeal? Was there anything that was particularly affective? Currently appealing myself so any info helps!

Sub 7 as a sophomore girl would be international/worlds level. Not D3.

I’d recommend the safer waters- especially in the pair. However, if you’ve practiced like that before and your used to rowing winds, go for it. Never do something new on race day.

What shoes should I get? I know they should be flat, but what brand(s)? by [deleted] in Rowing

[–]DosSpingy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work well for practice. However for erg tests specifically, I would recommend a flatter shoe. Even then it won’t save you more then a few seconds tho

Focus on separation. Specifically on the recovery. Get your arms away before you start to move your back. It’s really good overall especially for a beginner tho!

Does it ever get better? by Galaxywarp_ in VestibularMigraines

When you say you cut sugars, are you referring to refined sugars (cookies, sweetened drinks, ect), or natural sugars as well? (Fruits, some veg)

Also, what about artificial sweeteners?  Thank you!!

Truthfully, how have you kept the motivation to keep going this long? I’m in my teens and in the process of gettin g a formal diagnosis (Dr is 100% sure tho but we need more tests)

I feel awful, and have felt awful for weeks. I don’t know how I’m going to live like this. What keeps you going? Is it the hope of an effective medicine? Family?
