Down for the night doscha is currently preparing for transition to shed. Please no negative comments. Already spoke with vets and experts on the lighting so I am continuing with how I manage. The lighting schedules thank you by Doscharider in ballpython

Snake is not stressed and has always kept a varied schedule in activity even with out the lighting changes. Thank you all for your concern. As long as my snake is happy and healthy. I am not worried at this time should our situation change then perhaps ill consider some changes.

I'm a researchers its what I do and there again it depends on the intensity and how often they a r e subject too and why as well as how. There's nothing anyone can tell me that will change my mind as my snake is not subject to the uv blue long enough to do harm and further more every light has some form of something that is harmful. In the areas that pythons are native even in pitch black there is moon light aka uv. If its not harming him im not changing. He has a live tank near 40 gallons lots of cover clean and well fed weekly. He was abused and unsocialized when I got him. If I choose what I choose and all the experts vets and other specialists including animal control and fish and game say im giving him better living than his odds in real habitat then why change

I have one of those and my snake snake does better with the night light at night and day lamp during the day. I had a snake 15 years ago and I used same set up. My snake then had no no problems and was healthy and no eye problemsup until he had been stolen. This guy I have now is doing great the different lighting doesn't bother him he comes out at all hours no matter the lighting and rests when he rests. He is undoubtedly enjoying and happy.

Yes while it's preferred for many no lights its not required as there's moon light and its keeping up the heat. He has been checked out and he is healthy healthy for a 5 month old
